Greg and Judy Rancourt have decidedly taken the bragging rights on their snail hunt with a whopping 312 snails. While I intend to have this as a yearly tradition through the PLPA the first Saturday in August, this is something we should all be doing as often as possible. Keep it up folks. We are all custodians of the lake.

Hello all. On this Saturday, August 1st, the PLPA will be hosting an informal “snail eradication day”. We would like to invite all camp owners and beach goers to spend some time in front of their areas searching for the invasive Chinese Mystery Snail. This non native species has been infiltrating the waters of the lake and competing with native species. Each female can have up to 150 babies. When located, remove from the water and studies have shown the best way to dispose of them is either by freezing them or by burning them. Simply taking them out of the water and putting on land will not work as they can live for up to 3 months out of water. Let’s make it a challenge and see who can get the most this Saturday. Post pics so you can claim bragging rights. See you on the hunt!!!!!

Unfortunately we lost one of our baby loons to a predator. The other little one is still thriving. Let’s send off some name suggestions and I will have a random drawing of the name Saturday,the 18th of July, by 6 pm.

Looking for a 20" RC race boat, partial marking of "U-21 Pure Attitude" on the hull. Sank on the June side of the lake. If found please let me know.

Hey all. We wanted to remind you that the annual boat parade is on July 4th at 11am. Meet in front of the Moy Mo Da Yo beach at 1045. Deck out those boats and let’s celebrate the 250th anniversary of America, the beautiful!!!!
