Tomorrow is World Polio Day. This morning, members of our Club visited Limestone Community School, where students participated in the "Purple Pinkie Project" (which was made possible by "Classroom Sponsors"). πŸ’œπŸŒŽπŸ’§

On Monday, we'll be visiting Dawn F Barnes Elementary School. πŸ‘š

Along with participating in the "Purple Pinkie Project", students are collecting 'pennies' this month in their classrooms - to raise money for the campaign! And the classroom who collects the most, will be awarded a "Pizza Party"! ;-) πŸ’² πŸ•

Just 2 polio drops can make a world of difference in the life of a child. A donation to End Polio Now helps Rotary District 7790 and partners obtain the vaccines, transport, and personnel needed in the fight to for good: endpol.io/give πŸ’œπŸŒŽπŸ’§

And to conclude phase 1 of the Yellow Tulip Project, Limestone Community School - 2nd & 8th graders - took advantage of the good weather yesterday and planted the last 100 bulbs around the flagpole at the school. πŸ’›

We appreciate the staff & students getting these bulbs in the ground - and look forward to seeing them bloom in the spring - as a reminder of what they represent. πŸ’›

Thank you Limestone Community School staff & students! πŸ’›πŸ«

There's still slots available! Please consider putting in a team to support your Rotarians so we can "give back" to our community! πŸ˜‰β€οΈπŸŽ³

This tournament is replacing our annual golf tournament, which we did not have this year & is/has been our primary fundraiser. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Yellow tulips represent happiness, hope, and a reminder that even in dark times, support is available. πŸ’›

As part of the Yellow Tulip Project (a project to bring awareness that September is Su***de Prevention Month), our Club purchased 500 bulbs! πŸ’›

Last weekend, Rotarians and community members came together to plant 300 of those bulbs throughout the Limestone community. Places included our "Welcome to Limestone" town signs, town municipal buildings, local churches, Albert Michaud Park, and Rotary Park. 🏑

200 bulbs will be planted at Limestone Community School & Dawn F Barnes Elementary School in the coming days. 🏫

We are grateful for the support from the community towards this project. And look forward to seeing these bursts of yellow this spring as a reminder of this project & what the tulips represent. πŸ’›

Our Club will be joining other Rotary Clubs in our District over the next few weeks and participating in the "Yellow Tulip Project". πŸ’› Our District recently lost our newly appointed District Governor - Serge Poulin, who was a strong advocate for Su***de Prevention (having lost his brother to su***de) & Mental Health Awareness.

Our Club has purchased 500 bulbs and next Saturday morning we'll be at Rotary Park planting 100 bulbs! πŸ’›

We also have other areas throughout the community that we'd like to see bulbs planted. If you want to help, please join us on Saturday, September 26th - 9am. πŸ’›πŸ‘πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

We also encourage YOU to purchase yellow tulip bulbs and plant some of your own - and next spring they'll be a symbol of hope, resilience, and the courage to speak openly about mental health! πŸ’›
