Medical camps are at the heart of our mission.

We believe access to basic medical care should never depend on where you’re born. For many communities in Uganda, medical camps are the only opportunity to see a doctor, receive treatment, or get life-saving medication.

This year, our goal is to host a medical camp that brings care, dignity, and hope directly to those who need it most. With your support, we can turn this passion into action and make healing possible for countless families. 🩺✨

While most children in Uganda begin primary school, many never make it to secondary. School fees, uniforms, books, and transportation become overwhelming for families already struggling to meet basic needs. In rural areas, secondary schools are often far away. For some children, illness, hunger, or the need to work to support their family ends their education early.

Education shouldn’t stop because of poverty, but for millions of children, it does.

Yes — Uganda is often described as one of the happiest countries in Africa 😊
According to the World Happiness Report, Uganda often ranks among the higher countries in Sub-Saharan Africa for self-reported happiness. While it may not rank among the very top countries globally (like Finland, which has led recent reports), Ugandans often report strong social support, community ties, faith, and resilience as key contributors to life satisfaction.

Did you know that there is a child somewhere who misses school because they cannot afford scholastic materials like books, pencils, among others?
FACT: In many underserved communities, children miss school not because they lack ability or motivation, but because they cannot afford basic scholastic materials such as notebooks, textbooks, pencils, uniforms, or school bags.
Anchor of Joy International in conjunction with our partners on site visited local primary schools in Mbale, Uganda, and donated school supplies such as books, pencils, and other materials. It does not take much to put a smile on a child-in need’s face.
