Another successful weekend honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our nation. Together with Allen County Veterans Service Commission, Friends of Lima, Ohio Dept Purple Heart, The Purple Heart Foundation, Connie Thompson, Realtor and so many other Veteran Service Organizations, as well as the countless volunteers. We were able to across our country take time this weekend to pay our respects.
May our brothers and sisters rest easy as we continue to stand vigilant until we meet again.

Department of Ohio Commander Denny Hanneman has set the date for the MOPH Department of Ohio Executive Board Meeting for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2024.

The meeting will be held at 35 East Chestnut Street, Basement Conference Rooms, Columbus, OH 43235

As in the past, we will have a POT LUCK where everyone is invited to bring a dish to share. The Dept will provide Fried Chicken, beverages, plates/napkins/utensils.

You are welcome to arrive around 10 am for set-up, and we will say the Prayers for our food and eat at 11:00 am. Our meetings will begin around 12:30 pm.

Please let me know if you plan to attend - NAMES, Chapter/Unit, Title - estimate time of arrival - ETA

(Please note: Let me know if you are not going to be here until later than 11:00 am - so that I can make sure that you can gain entry into the PARKING GARAGE. We will request a Security Guard be present to let you in - but they may not be available later than 11:00 am.)

This is the primary meeting to introduce all the Department Officers and Chapter Commanders and Adjutants and Chapter Officers. Please be sure to have someone who can represent your Chapter so that we can make decisions for the upcoming year.

Our next meeting will be SPRING 2025 (date to be determined) and the Department Convention will be some time in May, 2025. We will discuss several items, as well as the upcoming meetings at this AUTUMN MEETING.

We hope to have a good turnout for this meeting ..... looking forward to reconnecting with everyone!!!

Purple Heart Day is observed on Aug. 7 each year and is a time for Americans to pause to remember and honor those wounded on or paid the ultimate sacrifice.
