This stunning photo of the Auglaize River, taken just behind downtown Wapakoneta, was captured by a friend. Many of you still live nearby, but for those classmates who have moved away, we’d love for you to come back and visit. You’d be amazed at how much our hometown has grown…and in all the best ways. The downtown is thriving with unique shops, great restaurants, and exciting events. And be sure to let me know if you are coming so I can get a few classmates together again. I attended a basketball game recently in the Wapakoneta Middle School building, AKA Wapak High in 1963. I’m attaching a picture of a beautiful mural. It is found in the hallway to the gymnasium. Looking closer, you will see the tiny faces of the students who attend there. Very cool! Also, here’s a picture of what lockers look like in 2025. Definitely a step up in 62 years. - Ellie (Eloise Maxson) Archer.

I spent a wonderful day with my Class of ‘63 friends, Donna Wisener Wright and Stella Mowery. We had lunch at The Golden Lamb in Lebanon, OH. Lots of great memories! ❤️❤️

This is a repeat. It’s so true…

High school students: Be kind in high school. Be kind. One day you will get to look at your current classmates at a class reunion. You will get to do business with them in your hometown or elsewhere. You will get to teach your former classmates’ children, or doctor them, or save their life in an emergency, or counsel them or sell them a Snickers bar across a retail counter.

Be kind to each other. You will grow up. Five years from now, much less forty years from now (or 60!), you will realize the stuff you're tearing each other down about doesn't matter. It’s cruel. It is not normal. It also serves no purpose. It doesn’t make any of you more successful or more athletic or more beautiful.

Be kind. One day you will have to look at your fellow classmates and say "Wow. Why weren't we friends in high school? You're an amazing human being." I can't tell you how many times this has happened in my adult life. Be kind. It's not a competition. You all get to be amazing. I promise. Be kind. - Kimi Brown
