God designed the family to be our very first blueprint of His love, grace, and community.
When we look at the unique roles of parents and children, we see a beautiful picture of how He shapes our hearts.

• Parents are called to be a living example of the Gospel—guiding with patience, modeling endless forgiveness, and building a lasting legacy of faith for the next generation.

• Children are a precious gift and a reminder of pure trust, teaching us what it truly means to look up to our
Heavenly Father with wonder and humility.

Family isn't just about sharing a home; it's a sacred assignment where we learn to love, sacrifice, and forgive just as Christ does for us. In a busy world, let’s protect our family altars, pray together, and cherish the moments God has given us to grow closer to Him and to each other.

We'll be welcoming children and families into the entrance of Westside UMC on Thursday, October 29, 2026 evening.

Yes. YES. They will be dressed up and excited.

Can you help? We'll be serving hotdogs and passing out candy.
Restroom facilities will also be available for them.

Candy donations can be dropped off Tuesday during office hours and on Sunday mornings.

We look forward to the kids finding Christ’s joy in the celebration of All Saints Eve (a.k.a. Halloween).

We want to share an important reminder that this event is completely open to the entire Lima community!
You do not need to be a member of our church to participate—all neighbors, friends, and families are welcome.

Westside United Methodist Church is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, October 26th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Your donation is a powerful, tangible way to bless someone in need and save up to three lives.

Looking for a dinner plan that is awesome and blessed by the best? 🐔

Skip the cooking and cruise on through to the Chicken BBQ Drive-Thru at Westside United Methodist Church right here in Lima, Ohio! We are serving up delicious meals with a side of community spirit, and we can’t wait to see you roll through.

📅 Event Details
• When: Saturday, October 24
• Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Where: Westside UMC (Drive-Thru style!), 604 Gloria Avenue
• Cost: $12 per ticket

⚠️ Important Note: Tickets must be purchased in advance, so make sure to grab yours before they sell out!
