🗑️ BIG NEWS COMING TO YOUR FEED! Introducing... Trash Talkin’ Tuesdays! 🗑️

Harnett County is a beautiful place to live, work, and farm! From the banks of the Cape Fear River to our rows of thriving local crops. But there’s one thing that’s putting a serious dent in our county's natural beauty and our local economy: litter.

It’s time to talk trash. Literally.

Starting next week, we are launching a brand-new weekly series right here called Trash Talkin’ Tuesdays!

Every Tuesday throughout the summer, we’ll be dropping:
📊 Eye-opening facts about what litter actually costs North Carolina taxpayers.
🚜 Real talk on how roadside trash directly threatens our local farmers, soil, and livestock.
🐢 Inside scoops on how we can keep our beautiful waterways and wildlife safe from pollution.
🎒 Easy ways YOU can take action—complete with free cleanup supplies, ALL YEAR LONG!

We aren’t just pointing out the problem, we are building the solution. Protecting our agricultural communities and natural resources starts right in our own backyards, and it is as simple as grabbing a trash bag and conducting a local litter sweep.

Set your notifications, tell your neighbors, and stay tuned for our very first official Trash Talkin’ Tuesday next week on June 2nd!

‼️Residents of Dunn NC, make sure you follow the Yard Waste Policy! If you do not live in Dunn, this is still a great policy to follow! Lets help keep our Landfills in tip top shape by doing out part before it gets there!

As we gather with family and friends this weekend to kick off summer, let's take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day: honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Let's show our gratitude by being responsible stewards of the beautiful parks, beaches, and backyards we enjoy. A simple act of cleanup can be a powerful tribute to their legacy.

Before you head home from your cookout or party, please remember to:
BAG IT ALL: Collect all your trash and make sure it goes into a designated bin, or take it with you if the bins are full.
TEAR DOWN, PACK UP : Gather up all your chairs, coolers, and umbrellas. Don't leave anything behind.

Millions of people, communities, and partners working together for years have made a real difference. But 35 billion pieces of litter remain, and some types are increasing. Our work is far from done.

A group from Manna Church Capital Area teamed up and conducted a litter sweep on the Angier side of Rawls Church road!
Their group did a fantastic job! THANK YOU for helping protect our Natural Resources!

THERE IS STILL MORE TO DO! If you or anyone you know are willing and able to help conduct a sweep on this road, it still needs ALOT of love and care!
