Spanish Cove

Spanish Cove Spanish Cove is one of the best kept secrets in Southern Alabama. Explore our website and find out what we already know; Spanish Cove is a great place to live.

Nestled in a forest of hardwoods and pines on the western shore of beautiful Perdido Bay, our community provides a wide variety of living styles with something for everyone. Just minutes away from Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley in Alabama as well as just across the bridge from Pensacola, Florida, Spanish Cove provides access to a wealth of fishing and boating, golfing, dining, beaches, cultu

ral and other amenities, to name only a few and all at a quiet, easy going pace of life. The site is designed to provide information and service to residents of the Cove as well as those who may or may not have ever been to the gorgeous gulf coast region of South Baldwin County, Alabama. Come on down (literally or figuratively) and find out why so many of us have made this our last permanent home. Welcome, one and all.

Here’s the rest of the parade!

07/04/2026

The phone 📞 overheated and shut down during the livestream!

The Founding Fathers couldn’t have picked a day maybe in OCTOBER to do this Independence thing?!?!

We do have most of the rest of the parade on video and I will be getting that posted here in just a little bit!

WASN’T IT A GREAT PARADE THOUGH?!?

07/03/2026

Remember! Parade lineup begins at 10am tomorrow morning on Kellie Drive!

We can’t wait to see your carts! And they don’t even have to be all decorated - fly an American flag off the back and write HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA on a piece of paper, stick it on your windshield and call it DECORATED! I mean, you won’t win one of the cash prizes LOL, but you’ll still have fun with your neighbors!

The parade map is on the back cover of the July Update. The livestream will begin right here on the public page around 11-ish as the carts make their way through Perdido Pines. Your hosts, Debbie and Jeff Washburn, will be set up at the corner of Ridgewood Drive and Santa Anna Lane.

And then don’t forget the BASH that starts at the end of the parade on the grounds of the Cove Clubhouse! Hot dogs and watermelon! Bounce Houses and games!

It’s gonna be a day of celebration around our Piece of Paradise - please join us!

COVE NEIGHBORS! We have BIG news! Our 4th of July Golf Cart Parade will not only be the biggest and longest parade we have ever seen here in Spanish Cove - it will also be LIVE-STREAMED!

You heard that right! The livestream will begin at approximately 10:45 Saturday morning, and your hosts for the show will be Debbie and Jeff Washburn! Don’t you just know shenanigans will be happening?!?

So, even if you are in the parade, you will still be able to watch the parade afterwards on the Spanish Cove Group page! So get those decorations out and commence to decorating your carts so that we can have a parade worthy of our nation’s 250th birthday!! Line up will start at 10 AM on Kellie Drive, so make your plans to join in the fun! Carts will be judged by the LVFD and cash prizes awarded to the top three!

Remember, it will only be broadcast on the Spanish Cove GROUP page, open to only property owners! If you haven’t joined that page, be sure to do it by noon this Friday so we will have a chance to verify your eligibility. Cove Neighbors!

We need your help! We want to feature YOUR photos on the cover of the July Update!

This month’s theme is “Summer in the Cove”

Send us your photos, from this year or years past that show what Summer looks like here in our Piece of Paradise. A few rules:

NO to AI or AI enhanced photos! We want snapshots of the things you see and do in the summertime - fun with friends and family, your gardens, sunrises, sunsets.

YES to photos of past July 4th celebrations, parades, fireworks! Patriotic, not political please! It’s the 250th birthday of our nation! That’s something to celebrate!

PLEASE if your pictures include children - understand that you are giving us permission to print them in the paper Update and also to post them on our website. Grandparents, we LOVE to see your little ones, but make certain it’s okay with Mom and Dad before you send.

TIME IS SHORT! Please email your photos to us no later than Thursday, June 18 at [email protected] for possible inclusion in the July Update.

We plan to do this monthly, so if you don’t have time to get them in this issue, stay tuned for the August theme.

Cove Neighbors,

After nearly 70 responses, the Communications Committee is asking for your vote to choose the name for the new walking trail between Land Harbor and Perdido Pines.

While we loved every choice y'all submitted - and there were some VERY clever ones - we did have to whittle down the choices to ten.

Please click the link and vote for your favorite. One vote per person. We will accept responses through 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 14. The new name will be announced at the June 18 Board of Directors meeting.
