We'd like to welcome our newest member to the Lilburn Business Association, Bill Stephens!

Bill Stephens is the current LT Governor for Kiwanis Georgia 8th District (Gwinnett, Hall, Forsyth, and North Fulton counties). Georgia Kiwanis helps kids around the area, throughout Georgia, and around the world. Local Kiwanis clubs look out for their communities, while the international organization takes on large-scale challenges such as fighting disease and poverty. Kiwanis members are generous with their time, creative with their ideas, passionate about making a difference, and have fun along the way. For more than a century, Georgia Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe, and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. The organization believes that "When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen."

Bill is the Past President and current Treasurer of the Lawrenceville Kiwanis Club (established in 1923), which was founded by two Lawrenceville businessmen who wanted to make a difference in their community. There are currently five Kiwanis clubs in Gwinnett County, and Bill wants to start a new club in Lilburn.

Bill has lived in Lilburn, off and on, for more than 23 years in the Rivermist neighborhood. He and his family moved there from Virginia to raise their family. Bill retired after 37 years with the IRS, where he served as the Associate Director of IT and Leadership Education (retired in 2023), and he joined Kiwanis in 2023.

He has seen how a nonprofit organization of like-minded people can make a difference in a community. Kiwanis supports education in various ways. The clubs in Gwinnett have provided scholarships to high school Key Club members, donated thousands of dollars each year to local charities and children's projects, as well as helped local elementary schools with educational assistance and mentoring.
Bill has seen the difference the Kiwanians of Lawrenceville, Duluth, Suwanee, North Gwinnett, and Norcross have made in their communities and wants to start a club in Lilburn to do the same.

Happy Mother's Day from all of us at 2 Paws Up. 💗

Today, the world celebrates moms in all their beautiful forms — and that absolutely includes you. Because being a pet mom is real motherhood. It's the 6 AM wake-up calls and the late-night cuddles. It's the worry when they're not feeling well. It's the unreasonable amount of money spent on toys they ignore in favor of the box. It's the way they look at you like you hung the moon — and the way you'd do anything to deserve that look.

You show up for them every single day. You feed them, walk them, brush them, talk to them in voices you'd never use in public, and love them through every shed, scratch, and zoomie. That's motherhood.

For 22 years, we've had the honor of being part of your village — helping care for your fur babies when life pulls you away from home. Thank you for trusting us with the ones you love most.

For those who are missing a beloved pet today, or for whom this day carries complicated feelings, please know we're thinking of you too. The love we share with our pets doesn't end when they leave us — it just changes shape.

Wishing you a day filled with wagging tails, contented purrs, slobbery kisses, and all the love your fur babies have to give. 🐾

After nearly 26 years of service with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Jana transitioned to working with a company that has long served ACSI. Leveraging her industry knowledge and established relationships, she joined HelmsBriscoe (HB) in January 2026.

As a Global Accounts Manager, Jana strategizes with clients to source optimal venues that align with their specific event needs and negotiates contracts that deliver maximum value and minimum liability. She streamlines the hotel selection and contracting process by handling the time‑intensive work of researching, contacting, and evaluating venues for group travel.

Jana serves associations, corporations, government departments, and occasional wedding room blocks. Her services are provided at no cost to clients, as HB maintains commission agreements with all major hotel brands and many boutique properties.
