New time = new posters coming soon! ✨

Watch for them around Kaua‘i — doctors’ offices, the hospital, gathering places and more.

If you see one, snap a pic, share it, or tell a friend.

The more people who know about Kaua‘i BIG, the more support we can offer to warriors of brain trauma and their caregivers 💛🧠

200 classes with 💛

So much gratitude for this space, the teachers, and this community.

Yoga, Pilates, and Bounce have supported not just my physical strength this past year, but my mental health, nervous system regulation, and overall brain wellness.

Movement (& rhythm) helps the brain build resilience, improve mood, and reconnect mind + body, it supports balance, coordination, breath, and parasympathetic activation, all essential for brain health and recovery.

Add in consistency, laughter, and community, and the medicine becomes even stronger 🥰

Mahalo, La Vida, for being such an important part of my wellness journey.

❤️Steph

PS: please check out our website: kauaibig.com and pass it along… we are here to provide community support for survivors, caregivers and friends of brain trauma.

Next meeting Monday Jan 19

Upcoming Talk: Emotional Healing & Nervous System Support After Brain Injury

In this follow-up presentation, Sosa will briefly revisit the mind-body-spirit connection as a foundation, then guide us into a deeper conversation around emotional healing after brain injury. Together, we’ll explore the impact of trauma—both “big T” and “little t”—and how acceptance can create space for transformation, resilience, and spiritual connection.

Sosa will also share holistic practices to support the parasympathetic nervous system and offer tools like mindfulness, journaling, breathwork, and gentle movement to help regulate emotions and nurture inner calm.

For April’s Kaua‘i Brain Group meeting, we explored the theme “My Brain Garden” through art.
We imagined our brains as gardens—filled with seeds of strength, needing care, support, and time to bloom.

Using drawing, painting, and collage, each person created a visual expression of what helps them grow.
This reflection was gentle, powerful, and as unique as each participant.

What does your brain garden need to thrive?
