Fall Swim Team is open for registration! 🍂

Our Fall Swim Team is for swimmers ages 5 to 18 looking to compete in a fun environment. There will be no tryouts, but swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool without assistance. Come join the fun! 💦

Participants must attend practice a minimum of 2 days, but 3+ days a week are recommended!

Tentative Start September 14, 2026 - March 30, 2027
Monday & Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Swim Team Fee: $300

🚴‍♀️ EVENING SPIN CLASS WITH KELLY RETURNS SEPT. 23!
Designed for all levels, this class blends rhythm riding, terrain-style elements, interval training, and endurance work. You can expect a mix of hills, quick and steady efforts—sometimes with a fun theme.

When: Wednesdays, 6:00PM - 7:00PM (Starting Sept. 23)
Location: Spin Studio 🚲🚲

Kids Night In = Parents Night Out! Evening Child Care at the Y.

Every parent needs a break from time to time. We offer evening childcare at The Y. We'll watch the kids while mom and dad have a parent's night out.

Friday, September 18, 2026
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cost for Kids Night In: $20/per child for members and $30/per child for non-members.

Don’t forget, pre-registration is needed by Sept. 14 to help us prepare staffing. Register in-person at the Y or Call 724-238-7580.

We're excited to announce the return of Pickleball Lessons!

This upcoming 6 week series is designed for those who are just starting out or are brand new to pickleball.

Instructor Don Kramer will focus on providing a practical introduction to pickleball basics. The Pickleball Basics session is designed to build a player's ability to understand rules and scoring, serving and returning serves, court positioning, volleys and basic strokes, and more!

Program Details:

Sept. 15 - Oct. 22; Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00 - 3:00pm
$48M / $72 NM
Registration Required, Limit 8 Participants

More about Instructor Don Kramer:

Don Kramer spent most of his life playing, coaching, or teaching tennis. After an injury forced him off the tennis court, he discovered pickleball and quickly became passionate about the sport. He is now a Certified Pickleball Instructor by the Racquet Sports Professionals Association.

At the Ligonier YMCA, we are no strangers to construction, renovations, or the TLC that is required to maintain a historic community asset. That's why in 2026, we successfully raised over $220,000 to replace the roof over the pool area.

Did you know our small town Y pool hosts thousands of patrons per month? Learn to Swim, Private and Group Swim Lessons, Aqua Aerobics classes, Lifeguard Certification courses, and Water Rescue courses are just a few examples of critical programming that our pool helps provide to the Ligonier community.

To maintain the high volume of community members enjoying our pool and Aquatics programs, in 2027, it is our goal to complete the pool area renovations with an interior overhaul totaling $450,000.

If you, your family member, or friend, has ever enjoyed an Aqua aerobics class, taken swim lessons, were on swim team, or just enjoyed a relaxing dip in the pool - We need your help!

Looking for an opportunity to get creative, chat with new friends, and reminisce on your fondest moments?

Join us Friday, September 18 at 10:45am - 12:15pm for Every Photo Tells a Story: A Creative Writing Workshop led by Dr. Helen Sitler.

Participants are asked to bring two photos as inspiration, each depicting at least one person.
