Relay for Life - Rainbow Relay of Long Island

It's finally here! The first ever Rainbow Relay For Life of Long Island! The time has come for the LGBT community and allies to help FINISH THE FIGHT on cancer!

Registration opens at 4:00 and opening ceremonies are at 5:00. A few reminders:

- dress comfortably and in layers. It can get chilly by the beach.
- bring rain gear in case of inclement weather. The event is RAIN OR SHINE!
- you may want some cash on hand for raffles and other things at the event.
- if you have to come late or leave early, no problem! Come for however long you are able.
- please DO NOT bring any to***co products or alcohol. All American Cancer Society events are Non-smoking.

Get ready for an evening of remembrance, inspiration and also lots of FUN! See you at Lido Beach Town Park in Lido Beach, NY TONIGHT! Bring as many friends as you'd like!

We are just DAYS away from the first EVER Rainbow Relay For Life of Long Island! It is THIS SATURDAY, September 21st at Lido Beach Town Park from 5-11pm! It is NOT too late to sign up or join a team to be a part of this groundbreaking event!

There is also still PLENTY of time to fundraise for you and your team! Here is an example - Do you know 5 people willing to donate $10 to the cause? That $50 helps the American Cancer Society provide 7 rides to and from treatment for cancer patients!

The American Cancer society also provides free wigs to cancer patients, nights at a Hope Lodge for cancer patients and their caregiver, and also is the second highest funder of cancer research behind only the United States Government!

So get LOUD! Finish the Fight! The countdown is ON to the first EVER Rainbow Relay For Life of Long Island! See you there!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the fundraiser at the Rose Theater on Friday night! We are proud to announce that your efforts raised $585 in the fight against Cancer!!!

Now its time to gear up to Finish the Fight! Join us at the Rainbow Relay for Life Kickoff event in the Great Room at Briarcliffe College in Bethpage, NY on August 8th 7:00pm.
