Community Partners for Affordable Housing

10/23/2026

Our hearts are full after the ribbon cutting of Betsy Lassar Place!

More than 100 community members, partners, and elected officials came together to celebrate the completion of eight permanently affordable Community Land Trust homes in Highland Park and honor Betsy Lassar’s remarkable legacy of housing advocacy.

This milestone represents what’s possible when a community comes together around a shared vision. We’re grateful to our partners for their collaboration and investment in affordable housing, and proud to carry Betsy’s legacy forward by helping more families find a place to call home.

Betsy Lassar Place in Highland Park is undergoing its finishing touches, and Mayor Nancy Rotering and State Senator Julie Morrison stopped by on Friday for a tour! Their support was pivotal to developing these 8 affordable townhomes which are now for sale through our Community Land Trust program.

This is a wonderful example of strategic community investment in affordable housing.
