Quick update! I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving with family, friends, food, and football!!Thank you to all that trotted, donated, supported us, cheered us on, etc! We had an amazing turnout yesterday with over 200 trotters and many pups!! We have raised over $6300 for the scholarship fund in honor of Parker Swearingin and over $2600 for Animal Education and Rescue! Your generosity and support has been amazing! The Cheddar up link is still live and we are still accepting donations through the weekend! Happy holidays everyone!

Happy Turkey Trot Day! See you all in a couple of hours! As of this morning we have 191 people registered to trot! This is a record breaking year! Bundle up! It is cold out there! We will start the trot right at 9:00 with a few announcements/logistics prior. I will draw raffle prizes right after the run. We do usually pack up pretty quickly so people can get their holiday started, travel or just warm up! If you are not there and you win a raffle basket, I will let you know and get it to you by next week!

Meet tomorrow morning about 8:30 on the Des Plaines River trail on 176 by Culver’s in Libertyville. We will start and end there. If you registered by November 17th your tee shirts will be there. Good morning! It is Turkey Trot eve Day! To all my college runners!!🤣 You can still register and join us tomorrow! We will be busy marking the trail today and getting all the food, water, and raffle prizes ready to go! We are looking forward to our best trot ever! To purchase raffle tickets you can pay cash or Venmo tomorrow! 4 great baskets! All monies collected goes towards the 2 beneficiaries that we are trotting for this year! And yes, per the video below, you can walk in the back!!

We are 4 days away! It looks a little chilly so bundle up! We start right at 9:00. There will be snacks, holiday cheer, and photo opps at about 8:30. You can also by raffle tickets at that time. We meet at the Des Plaines River Trail right by Culvers on 176. You will see a large Turkey Trot sign. If you registered before Nov 17th your tee shirts will be packed by family name.
Your friends and family can still register and join us!

Our raffle baskets are ready to go! There will be a total of 4. One for dogs, one for kids, and these two are packed with goodies and gift cards to local shops and restaurants! $300 value. We will be selling raffle tickets the morning of the turkey trot. If you can’t make it and want to buy tickets just message me and you can Venmo and I’ll put your tickets in the bucket for you! $5 a ticket. One week from today! Join us for the 9th annual Turkey Trot! The race is along the Des Plaines River Trail starting at Culvers on 176 in Libertyville. 9:00 Thanksgiving morning It is pet friendly, family friendly and fun! We are running to raise funds for 2 local causes (see previous posts for more info) Tee shirt orders are in so you will not receive a shirt with your registration but you will still receive a fun morning, snacks, raffle prizes, burning calories and community spirit! Good Morning! A quick thank you to all of our Turkey Trot donors and sponsors! As I sit here sipping my morning coffee, a special thank you to Dawn Kasten who has generously donated to the Trot but is also sponsoring the coffee and hot cocoa that morning! Today is the last day to register and receive a tee shirt with your registration! You can still register until the actual race itself but today is the cut off to receive a tee shirt. Please consider joining us Thanksgiving morning along the Des Plaines River Trail at 9:00 for a 5k to support to local causes. See more info in link.
