J&E Support Group

J&E Support Group You’re not alone—we mean it. My name is Maddie. I am an adult female living with Schizoaffective Bipolar type, GAD, PTSD and OCD. We can do this together.

A mental health advocacy and peer support nonprofit offering advocacy, public events, free support groups (in-person & virtual) + powerful motivational speaking My mission is to help people like me find peace and recovery while spreading awareness of mental health in the community. In December 2023 I almost lost my life. While relearning everything, such as how to talk, walk, swallow and breathe,

I felt a calling to do something to help others like me. I spent 35 years with no voice but today I choose to shout from the roof tops in the hope of helping others. We can come together and make a difference through education and compassion. If you ever need a listening ear I am here to listen! If you are living with a diagnosis just know, I think you're amazing and you're not alone. Lets change the world together.

A diagnosis is not a death sentence.

And asking for help doesn't make you weak.

Maddie Andrews is a two-time award-winning mental health professional, social worker, and advocate whose work is deeply rooted in her own lived experience with serious mental illness.

After experiencing isolation, hospitalization, and the challenges of learning to live with her diagnosis, Maddie discovered something powerful: healing doesn't have to happen alone.

Through peer support, community, holistic practices, and small daily changes, she learned how to move from simply surviving to truly thriving.

In this powerful conversation, Maddie shares practical tools for mental wellness—from grounding and breathwork to positive self-talk, creating a support system, and celebrating small wins.

Her message is simple but profound:
You are not your diagnosis.
You are still you.
And recovery is possible.

Her conversation inside The Breath That Breaks the Silence Summit:
From Surviving to Thriving

Free. All of September.

If you've ever struggled with shame, isolation, negative self-talk, or wondered if life can still be beautiful after a diagnosis, this conversation is a reminder that you can heal, you can ask for help, and you can build a life you love.

💜 Sleep Is Mental Health Care, Too. 😴

We often talk about therapy, medication, exercise, and self-care when we talk about mental health—but we can’t forget one of the most important pieces: SLEEP.

When we don’t get enough quality sleep, it can affect our:
🧠 Mood and emotional regulation
💭 Ability to think clearly and make decisions
❤️ Stress levels and resilience
⚡ Energy and motivation
🤝 Relationships and ability to cope with challenges

Sometimes, taking care of your mental health means knowing when to **slow down, put the phone away, and let your mind and body rest.

You don't have to earn rest. Rest is part of healing.💜

Tonight, permit yourself to prioritize sleep. Your mind deserves a break, too. 🌙✨
