J&E Support Group

J&E Support Group You’re not alone—we mean it. My name is Maddie. I am an adult female living with Schizoaffective Bipolar type, GAD, PTSD and OCD. We can do this together.

A mental health advocacy and peer support nonprofit offering advocacy, public events, free support groups (in-person & virtual) + powerful motivational speaking My mission is to help people like me find peace and recovery while spreading awareness of mental health in the community. In December 2023 I almost lost my life. While relearning everything, such as how to talk, walk, swallow and breathe,

I felt a calling to do something to help others like me. I spent 35 years with no voice but today I choose to shout from the roof tops in the hope of helping others. We can come together and make a difference through education and compassion. If you ever need a listening ear I am here to listen! If you are living with a diagnosis just know, I think you're amazing and you're not alone. Lets change the world together.

🌅 **The Mental Health Benefits of a Morning Routine** 🌅

How you start your morning can set the tone for your entire day. A consistent morning routine doesn't have to be complicated—it can be as simple as taking a few moments to care for yourself before the day gets busy.

✨ Benefits of a morning routine for mental health:
✔️ Reduces stress and anxiety by creating structure and predictability
✔️ Improves focus and productivity throughout the day
✔️ Increases feelings of control and accomplishment
✔️ Supports emotional regulation and resilience
✔️ Encourages healthy habits like movement, hydration, mindfulness, and self-care
✔️ Helps improve sleep by reinforcing your body's natural rhythms

Remember, your morning routine doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee, taking a walk, journaling, practicing gratitude, stretching, praying, meditating, or simply sitting quietly for a few minutes, small steps can make a big difference.

💚 Mental wellness is built through daily habits, not perfection. Start where you are, use what you have, and give yourself grace along the way.

Last night, our J&E Support Group community came together to celebrate and send off Maghen as she begins her journey to Miss North Carolina! 👑💙
Moments like these remind us that healing doesn't happen alone. Mental health recovery is strengthened through connection, encouragement, and community. When we show up for one another, celebrate successes, and walk alongside each other through challenges, we create a space where healing can truly happen.
At J&E Support Group, we're more than a support group—we're a community.
Join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM at Bloom Therapeutics as we continue building hope, connection, and healing together.

Healing happens one moment, one conversation, and one breath at a time. 💙

At J&E Support Group last week, we spent time processing emotions, sharing support, and coloring mandalas as a grounding exercise. Creative activities like mandala coloring can help reduce stress, increase mindfulness, and keep us connected to the present moment while we work through difficult feelings.

You don't have to walk your mental health journey alone. Our free support group provides a safe, welcoming space where everyone is encouraged to share, heal, and build community.

✨ Our next group is TONIGHT at 5:30 PM at Bloom Therapeutics Come join us as we continue creating hope, connection, and healing for all.

My pets are more than companions—they’re part of my healing journey. 🐾❤️

Today, they curled up in my lap during EMDR therapy, offering comfort, grounding, and unconditional support. As someone living with schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, and OCD, therapy is an important part of my recovery. Having my pets nearby reminds me that healing doesn't have to happen alone.

Animals have a unique way of helping us stay present, reduce stress, and feel connected during difficult moments. Their quiet presence can be a powerful source of comfort when processing hard emotions and memories.

Mental health recovery looks different for everyone, and for me, my pets are an important part of my support system. 💚

Movement is medicine for both our bodies and our minds! 💃🧠

This week, members of J&E Support Group came together for a fun and energizing Zumba class. Physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, build confidence, and strengthen social connections—all important parts of mental wellness.

We are incredibly grateful to Thrive Movement and Speech for sponsoring this class and helping make this opportunity possible for our community. Thank you for supporting mental health, connection, and healing through movement!

Together, we're building community, reducing isolation, and showing that recovery can be active, joyful, and empowering. ❤️

✨ We’re excited to announce a new partnership between J&E Support Group and Mission 1613 ✨

At J&E Support Group, we believe that strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and support. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with an organization that shares our commitment to mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Together, we look forward to working toward a stronger, healthier, and more mentally well Randolph County. By joining forces, we can expand resources, foster hope, and make a lasting impact in our community.

Thank you, .1613, for standing with us in the movement to normalize conversations about mental health and ensure that no one has to walk their journey alone. 💚
