The Liberty Community Chorus' Fall concert, celebrating America's 250th Anniversary, is THIS weekend! The concert will feature songs by American composers and arrangers. "Spider" by Nathan Pierce has officially been moved to it's permanent home!

Make sure to stop by the Capitol Federal Sports Complex of Liberty and check out this awesome piece in it's new location.

Each year, the Liberty Arts Commission has the option to purchase one or more of the pieces to be added to the City's permanent public art collection and to be moved to a permanent location elsewhere in the City.

This is funded through the voter-approved Transient Guest Tax, which is paid by visitors who stay in Liberty hotels and B&Bs.

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate the unveiling of "Stop and Smell the Roses". This sculpture was selected by a diverse panel of Liberty residents and stakeholders out of 117 applications.

This piece was funded by the Transient Guest Tax which is paid by visitors who stay in Liberty hotels and B&Bs.

Get excited - the ribbon cutting for "Stop and Smell the Roses" is right around the corner!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, several downtown businesses will be joining in on the festivities with rose themed items and deals:

- Style House Boutique: Enjoy rose-themed touches all week and, while you're there, pick a rose for a surprise on Thursday!

- Quilting Is My Therapy: Get 25% off rose prints and pink, red and, purple fabrics from Sept. 15 - 19. This offer is valid in-store only and is not applicable to online sales.

- Sacred Creations KC: Stop by and get a rose themed candle for $22! These candles are rose scented, with rose quartz and dried rose petals. Candles are available Sept. 16 - 20 or until sold out.

- The Copper Canary: Enjoy a Rose Latte, created specifically to celebrate the new Stop and Smell the Roses sculpture. This is a strawberry and vanilla iced latte topped with strawberry sweet cream cold foam. This week will be offered during the week of Sept. 17

It's that time of year again - new art around the Liberty square!

Over the next few weeks, the Liberty square will be brought to life with nine new sculptures as part of the 2026-2027 Rotating Sculpture Program. This program is an outdoor sculpture exhibition featuring jury-selected, three-dimensional works of art displayed around the historic downtown area.
