Our Story
Autism Works was founded in 2010 by a group of parents who realized there was a lack of support and programs available in the Northland and surrounding communities. With the help of founder Jamie Krisman, they decided to make a difference and created Autism Works. Our organization works closely with families and the local community to increase autism awareness and develop programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Autism Works Inc is a non-profit organization where dedicated parents, volunteers and staff come together to bring support and programs to families whose lives are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We have several great programs for individuals with Developmental Disabilities who can “independently participate” without disruptive or aggressive behaviors in a group setting with minimal support. While the main focus at Autism Works is to provide support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families, our social skills classes are open to any individual with social skills deficits that are able to participate independently regardless of diagnoses.
