363 Hunt Club This page is dedicated to the memory of John V. Mesh. John was a Kansas City Firefighter killed in the line of duty, October 12th, 2015.

After the love of his family, Johns greatest passion was the outdoors, especially bow hunting.

Truly hard to believe that today marks 11 years since the passing of the man this page is dedicated to. His is loved and missed by so many people on a daily basis, seems like its been so long since I haw seen him but I can still hear his voice as if were yesterday. For those who didn’t know John, you really missed out. A quiet guy, an old soul and definitely old school, respectful, and someone that was all about tradition. It wasn’t until his passing that I learned of so many things about John that “surprised” me. Not because I was shocked about hearing of his kindness and generosity, but because he was so reserved, didn’t ask for attention, and really kept to himself except for family and friends. I can’t count the number of people that approached my family and myself telling stories about how John had impacted their lives with a simple act of kindness without ever asking for anything in return. It is for reasons like this that the John V. Mesh Memorial Scholarship was founded, and we can’t begin to express how grateful and blessed we are to have been able to do so many great things to honor Johns memory. We are dedicated to keep the ball rolling so stay tuned for what we have coming up, more hunts, more fishing trips, and more scholarships. Thanks to everyone who has made this possible as we couldn’t have done it without the tremendous support we receive. John you are loved and missed everyday, and your legacy and memory will continue to live on. ❤️🚒❤️

Tucker Ray got to tag along with his dad, Dylan Ray, on an Idaho spring bear hunt. While tucker isn’t old enough to hunt in Idaho yet, he still go to experience the thrill of the wild, and the challenges of the mountain.

“We got within 40 yards of this bear on the ground, with my bow, and Tucker got to experience it all, being right there with me! He asks nearly every day how many days left until our next bear hunt.”

Even if your kids aren’t old enough to hunt for themselves yet, get them out there and let them experience the great outdoors alongside you!

It’s never too early to start teaching kids about gun safety.

As kids get older, age-appropriate education can grow with them—teaching them to respect fi****ms, understand the responsibility that comes with them, and never treat a gun like a toy.

The goal is knowledge, respect, and responsibility.

Teach them. Talk to them. Keep them safe.

One of our good buddies, Lane Greene, got his son Cooper out during the early season muzzle loader season in Kansas and got him his first buck!

Lane shares our strong passion for getting youth out in the great outdoors, and partners with us each year to get youth out on a FREE thermal coyote hunt.

Keep passing on the tradition Lane, and CONGRATS on a great first buck, Cooper!

Yesterday we were happy to partner to Muddy Duck Waterfowl at James A. Reed Conservation Area at their 4th fishing derby. We were able get over 70 kids out to enjoy an extremely hot morning of fishing and fun. Awards were given, a lot of fish (and turtles) were caught, and every child was able to take home a new fishing rod and some tackle. What a great day to get the next generation into the great outdoors, this is a great example of what the John V. Mesh Memorial Scholarship is all about.
