Kyleigh's Gift

It’s been awhile since we have posted anything. 70 days to be exact, according to the notification from FB. Life gets busy and sometimes you just need a little break.

A week from today is Kyleigh’s 14th birthday. Our family took flowers to the cemetery and stopped for ice cream. Since her birthday falls on Easter this year, we decided to celebrate her a little early.

We will be doing our annual diaper drive, we’re just not sure when quite yet. Stay tuned for more info!

Thank you to Clay County Public Health Center - Missouri for the car seat donation! Earlier, as a part of their car seat drive, Clay County conducted a needs assessment and selected us a recipient through our Patient Assistance and Kyleigh’s Gift program. Thank you again for supporting our tiniest patients and their families!

October is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, with today being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.

The first Kyleigh’s Gift Run/Walk was held on October 11, 2014. We needed an event to raise funds for a full year’s worth of Sleep Sacks. It was such a success that we made the event our annual, and only, fundraiser. Because of the community’s generous support throughout the years, we have been able to add more than Sleep Sacks to the Kyleigh’s Gift mission. Providing infant wellness education and parental support for pregnancy and infant loss is the core of what we do. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Kyleigh’s Gift Walk over the past 12 years💛

There is still time to join us this year! Registration begins at 6:00pm TODAY and the Glow Walk begins at 7:00pm, followed by the candlelight remembrance ceremony. All events take place outdoors at the Liberty Hospital Treehouse.
