Good Morning from Africa!
The children are back in school from a month off for holiday. I enjoy seeing all the beautiful smiling faces, but also realize there are many needs here in Africa and at Children are People Ministry. Feeding 300 plus children and housing and paying school fees for around 160 is not an easy thing to do . But seeing these smiling faces makes us want keep going. We are still working on getting finances for our playground project, this is a big project and is going to cost around $3500.00. We have had some donations come in but still need around $2000.00.
The old playground equipment has been removed due to safety reasons. We had a couple children injured so needed to remove the metal play equipment.

Good Morning from Africa.
Children are People School is out until the end of April for holiday so we are trying to take care of some projects for the school while the children are out.
We are recovering the seats in the van because they needed repair for safety reasons this is costing 45000.00ksh ($350.00), also we are in need of some break work which is 6000.00ksh ($50.00).
Our big project that we would like to do while the children are out of school is our playground project this is a big project and is going to cost around $3500.00.

School is out on Holiday until the end of April so we are busy trying to do a few projects that need to be taken care of while the children are out of school.
We are having the seats redone in the school van they were in need of repair for safety reasons, and it is better to do this while we don’t need the van to transport the children. This is costing 45000.00ksh ($350.00). Also having some brake work done which is 6000.00ksh ($50.00). Hi I’m back in Africa with Children are People. There are so many needs here that some times it gets overwhelming, but I know God is a GREAT GOD and a GREAT PROVIDER. God never gives us more then we can handle even though at the moment it might not seem that way.
The children just finished school today and will now be on holiday for a month which means we go through more food in the homes because they won’t be eating in school. Also we have seen some Malaria in the last couple of days, so I’m sure we will be seeing an increase in medical bills.

We are thrilled to see the beginnings of the building of two new classrooms for our School in Kenya.

Our High School students are preparing to go back to school January 2. We are still needing this years school fees for 26 of our students, with a total amount of around $8500 US dollars. All of our high school students are Sudanese Refugees , and have already experienced extreme suffering and trauma in their short lifetimes. Two of our Ministry Vehicles have been currently “under the weather “. These vehicles play an important role in helping us fulfill the needs of the school and children. Pastor’s John’s car needed engine repairs and the van for the children is currently “immobile “. If you would like to help cover these costs we would so greatly appreciate it! 🎁
All the on going & constant needs can sometimes feel overwhelming to us. But, we are so grateful that we do not carry the burden alone!!! THANK YOU for your continued prayers and support.

It’s Giving Tuesday and when you invest into the lives of our children you are doing so much more than just providing an education. What may seem small to you opens windows of opportunities to children that in many ways would have otherwise been forgotten! We get to see the sparkle in their eyes, the glimmer of hope that comes from the value and joy of learning.
