Today’s classroom looked a little different. 🌱🍽️

Students joined us at Kenoza Hall for our Real Food Education program — learning about real food, sharing a meal together, and creating positive food memories that last far beyond the table.

Real Food = Better Math Skills 💛🍎📚

We presented our Real Food Education program at Fallsburg Elementary for a special session with 3rd and 4th grade math students.

We talked about real food, health, community, and food memories while the students shared ideas for their upcoming Food Truck math projects.

Such a fun and meaningful way to learn. We can’t wait to see what they create!

Requests for our free family meals have doubled since January, and the cost of meeting that need continues to rise.

Families are doing the best they can right now — but many are struggling to put food on the table.

The A Single Bite team is out in Sullivan County classrooms, at agriculture, resource, & partnership conferences, Foster Supply Hospitality restaurants, and local farms. They are sharing the knowledge of Real Food and where it comes from, how to eat better now and for a lifetime, local & NYS products, food systems, & our initiatives that bring it all together to benefit our community.

The Real Food Initiative is a multi-faceted approach; we feed hungry people TODAY, educate them to make better food choices now and for a lifetime, bring Real, Local Food into school cafeterias, and support pantries and other agencies by bridging gaps to food access.

A fun day with friendly competition, gorgeous views, delicious food, cold drinks, and the knowledge that fewer of our neighbors will go to bed hungry.
