ONE more week until Liberty Lake's Volunteer & Service Expo, which is coming on Thursday, June 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Trailhead Golf Course Rotary Room. This is your chance to find out about some of the community's service organizations -- and maybe even see if there's one you might want to become a part of. Here are the groups that are scheduled to be there:

The Liberty Lake Kiwanis was honored to have been approached for this project by Ruth, she is quite impressive!

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony tonight at Rock Park in The River District at 6:30pm and we can wait to see everybody there.

An 11-year-old girl from Liberty Lake is proving that anyone can make a difference in their community.

Wow, what an awesome morning. The Liberty Lake Kiwanis had the opportunity to serve hot dogs to the entire student body and staff at Spokane Valley Tech this morning. The talented students did some work with us to improve our trailer for the season and so we served the entire school hot dog meals! We were ready for them, we served over 150 meals in about 20 minutes. Such and amazing school filled with so many talented studentsand an amazing staff

The Liberty Lake Kiwanis meets at the Liberty Lake Library on Wednesday mornings at 7 am, or at noon at Fieldhouse Pizza in Liberty Lake the last Wednesday of the month if you would like to join to help the kids of our community!

We have an absolutely amazing Key Club at Ridgeline HS that we want to help. They are doing a clothing drive and a movie night! A Key Club, for those who are unaware, is a volunteer organization much like the Kiwanis, but on the High School level. This amazing group of students does have an advisor, and the Liberty Lake Kiwanis supports them however we can. Please see the information here and consider helping. Ridgeline Falcons

The window for Scholarships is still open. You have until March 31st to get this completed and have additional documents turned in. We have a good number of people who have either finished or started this process this year, and there is room for more. Scholarships are good for 2-year and 4-year institutions, trade schools, and past applicants who have been awarded and are in their continuing education. Please take a look at the link~

Wow, Saturday night was Rocking and Rolling at Ridgeline HS for the annual Father-daughter dance. We had a lot of fun... Some were having so much fun they forgot some of their stuff. LOST AND FOUND stuff to claim. Please reach out and we will arrange to get it to you!

The registrations are still coming in. We will turn off electronic reservations on Friday night and you'll have to pay more at the door. We're going to have a huge event this year, don't miss out, we are having a blast planning this event at the new venue! Ridgeline Highschool.

WOW, I am sure you have seen the A-frame signs around town, this dance is approaching quickly. We have sold out in the past, don't wait!
The Liberty Lake Kiwanis team is working hard to make this an incredible success. Remember, this isn't dads and daughters, it is uncles, aunts, and grandparents with both boys and girls! We look forward to seeing you...oh, 2 chocolate fountains this year! YAHOOO!!!!!

🎓 **SCHOLARSHIP TIME, PEOPLE!** 🎓
Yes, it’s that magical season when money *falls from the sky* (okay fine, it comes from the Liberty Lake Kiwanis and Spokane Valley Kiwanis, but still).
We’re back with our annual scholarships — and guess what?
**They are NOT GPA-based.**
That’s right. If your grades are “fine” or “we don’t talk about junior year,” you’re still in the game.
These scholarships are open to:
- 4‑year university students
- 2‑year college students
- Trade school legends
- Basically, anyone trying to level up their future
The application is simple. Like… shockingly simple.
And the deadline is creeping up faster than a senioritis-fueled procrastination spiral: **March 31, 2026**.
Go apply. Seriously. Future You will high-five Present You for this.
