This past Sunday, 60 members and alumni came together to work at the Iowa State Fair Beef Quarters.  Members took on jobs of ordering, making, and serving everybody at the Iowa State Fair. Thank you to everyone for volunteering!

A special recognition from the Warren County Fair for Alex Johnstone. Alex completed over 30 hours of service over the course of the week, assisting in the Horticulture Building, Cattlemens and Pork Producers. Last Sunday was the final show of the fair, the Advanced Cattle Feeder show. We had five groups with ten total members showing! Congratulations to Braydon Johnson and Tucker Hoch for having the highest rate of gain with 4.1 lbs per day, and Madison Olsasky and Caleb Oliver for being the Record Keeping Champions! Even though it was hot, our members had a great day and it was a great way to wrap up the fair!

Two of our members, Braydon Johnson and Tucker Hoch, gave all of their money from a steer they sold at Monday’s fair auction back to the fair to help build the new multi-species barn. These two put a lot of work into this project and helped the fair get closer to their goal!

Thank you to all of the buyers, auctioneers, fair officials and community members that made this possible!

Steer No. 240 was the most popular animal at the Warren County Fair on Monday.
