Congratulations, Isabell!

For Isabell Olsasky, the connection between food and caring for others began with meals delivered to the fields of her family’s south-central Iowa farm. Today, that understanding is shaping her ambition to improve nutrition and food security around the world.

Olsasky, a sophomore studying Iowa State University Department of Agronomy and Global Resource Systems in Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, received the David Lambert “Hunger Fighter” Memorial Scholarship at the 2026 World Food Prize Foundation Borlaug Dialogue.

This morning, 22 members, our advisor, and two chaperones left for National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. At convention our members will be able to watch contests, attend leadership development events, meet members from all around the country, while having a lot of fun. We wish all of our members a safe trip!

Last Monday, 12 of our members went to the Centennial Park in Milo to clean up the flower beds. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day off to come clean up Milo! Your help is greatly appreciated!

In honor of Lukas Carruthers being cancer-free, we would like to celebrate with everyone wearing their Lukas Strong shirt this Thursday. If any student would like one that does not have one, talk to Mr. Rodgers to get one from the Ag Room.

On Monday October 6th, 11 of our newest members went to Twin Cedars to participate in Greenhand Fire-Up. Through this event they were split up into groups and worked on becoming future leaders!
