Rich history, big laughs, and endless pancakes! 🥞

Few events capture local spirit quite like Liberal’s International Pancake Day. What began in 1950 as a friendly challenge to the women of Olney, England—who have raced on Shrove Tuesday since 1445—has grown into a full multi-day festival. From energetic flipping contests to pancake-eating showdowns, it’s a time-honored tradition served with a healthy dose of friendly competition.
