Please join us in welcoming Delaney Hughes to the JA of the Bluegrass team as our new Events & Stewardship Manager! ๐Ÿ’™

Delaney is a longtime supporter of Junior Achievement, having previously served as a Team Lead in our Experiential Learning Center and even experiencing JA programs herself as a Lexington native!

She also brings valuable event experience from her work with study abroad programs across multiple countries, giving her a unique perspective on creating meaningful experiences and connecting people.

Delaney is especially excited for her first fall back in Lexingtonโ€”getting ready for football, Keeneland, and, of course, a full season of JA events! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’™

And trust us, sheโ€™s jumping right into the action! Keep an eye out for updates and communications about one of JAโ€™s most fast-paced and exciting events of the year: the JA Stock Market Challenge! ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐ŸŽ‰

Weโ€™re so excited to have Delaney back in the Bluegrass and on the JA team. Welcome, Delaney! ๐Ÿ‘

As we begin a new school year, we want to take a moment to recognize two outstanding members of our JA Lexington Leadership Program Committee who concluded their service following the 2025โ€“2026 school year.

A heartfelt thank you to Kendriana Price, Assistant Dean at the University of Kentucky, and Graham Wi******er, Transportation Project Manager at Stantec, for their years of dedication and commitment to the JA Lexington Leadership Youth Program.
Their time, leadership, and passion have helped shape meaningful experiences for countless students, and we are incredibly grateful for the impact they've made.

From building thriving communities to making smart money decisions, our campers spent the day discovering what it takes to help a city succeed! ๐Ÿ™๏ธ

During JA Our City Camp, third-grade students explored how communities work through hands-on activities that challenged them to think like city planners, entrepreneurs, and responsible citizens. They learned how money moves through a city, why every role in a community matters, and how the choices we make can shape the world around us.

Campers also had the opportunity to visit Junior Achievement's Experiential Learning Center, where they brought classroom concepts to life through immersive, real-world learning experiences.

Thank you to all of the students, families, and volunteers who made this week such a success. We loved watching our future leaders collaborate, create, and discover what's possible! ๐Ÿ’™

Volunteers are the heart of everything we do at Junior Achievement! ๐Ÿ’™

Through their time and dedication, our volunteers help us drive economic mobility for students by preparing them for a rapidly changing world and helping them build the skills they need to succeed academically today and economically tomorrow.

We wanted to take a moment to recognize our Top 5 companies who had the most employees volunteer with us during the 2025โ€“2026 school year. Your partnership and commitment help bring JAโ€™s experiential learning programs to life for students across our community.

A special shoutout to the University of Kentucky for being our #1 volunteer organization this year! ๐ŸŽ‰ Thank you for helping us create opportunities and make a lasting impact on the next generation.

๐ŸŒŸ As we prepare for another school year, we wanted to recognize our 2025โ€“2026 Leadership Lexington Youth Program Student of the Year, Grace Wilson! ๐ŸŒŸ

Grace, a rising senior at STEAM Academy, exemplifies what it means to lead with compassion, purpose, and a heart for serving others.

""LLYP gave me the opportunity to grow with other like-minded individuals. The experience meant so muchโ€”it gave me new ideas of how to improve my community and the world around me, as well as how to encourage others in their growth and goals of changing the world.""

After graduation, Grace plans to attend college to study Public Health. Her goal is to work throughout Appalachia, supporting individuals experiencing addiction, homelessness, and crisis pregnancies.

Congratulations, Grace! Your passion for helping others and your commitment to creating positive change inspire us all. We can't wait to see the incredible difference you'll continue to make in your community and beyond. ๐Ÿ’™
