Bluegrass Elder Abuse Prevention Council Bluegrass Elder Abuse Prevention Council aids in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation in Fayette and Jessamine Counties.

Bluegrass Elder Abuse Prevention Council (BGEAPC), a sub-committee of Bluegrass Aging Consortium, aids in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation in Fayette and Jessamine Counties, through community education and inter-agency collaboration. BGEAPC is made up of advocates who work in the senior services industry, in addition to other concerned citizens. The Council meets on the thir

d Thursday of each month at 3:00pm. Meetings are held in the conference room of the Bluegrass Area Development District (BGADD), located at 699 Perimeter Dr., Lexington, KY 40517.

To report suspected abuse in your community, contact your local Adult Protective Services (APS) agency. To reach the Kentucky APS Abuse Hotline, please call (800) 752-6200 to (877) 597-2331. To report suspected abuse in a nursing home or long-term care facility, contact your local Long-Term Care Ombudsman at (800) 372-2991.
