- "That's literally Mother Monster right there. I love how her sound appeals to the 'weird' kids. It's right up my alley. I appreciate how outspoken she is about politics."

Ethel Cain
- Sun Bleached Flies, American Teenager, Strangers
- "The various genres of her music elevates the symbolism she inherits into them either for an inter-album story or for short one-offs. Also it reminds me of home 🙂"

Aaliyah
- One In A Million, At Your Best (You Are Love), Are You That Somebody?
- "I like her because she redefined fashion within the R&B scene and contemporary music. She influenced so many artists I love today. Her musical style mixed R&B, pop, and hip-hop."

Hayley Williams
- Misery Business, Still Into You, All I Wanted
- "[Paramore is] loud and fun."
- "One of the most significant pop-punk vocalists. Her vocal range is insane (listen to All I Wanted!!!). Hayley Williams is NOT afraid to speak up (ex. the lyrics to Misery Business). She helps newer artists step into the spotlight (PinkPantheress in 2022!). Truly a girl's girl."

- "Her music gives off a relaxed/chill vibe and she collabs with other artists that I also listen to. I’ve also listened to R&B for a while and like the genre in general."

- "I listened to her a long time ago and found it very powerful when she came back on her own terms to make the album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT."

- "Her writing is raw. She's able to capture the intricacies of human emotion in her music."

- "Her music is really good, she has no misses. It’s really good study music."

- "I really like the style of her music. She’s really great weekend/party vibes."

- "She’s such an inspiration as a female trumpet player, and I actually got to meet her several times at various band festivals and when she came to play with the Lexington Philharmonic. "

Amy Winehouse
- "Back to Black," "Valerie," "Rehab"
- "She had such a unique style and was such a humble person."
- "As someone who absolutely adores soul/jazz/blues, her voice was so perfect for these genres. Her music makes me tear up with how personal it is to her story. She was a selfless person who made sure her wins were also her band's wins. I truly do not think there will be another person like Amy Winehouse."
