"Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus (endometrial implant). Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, bowel or the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond your pelvic region." - Mayo Clinic Definition
As of right now, we
are working on establishing teams across the country to provide support to women with, or who think they have, Endometriosis on an individual face-to-face basis. Eventually, Yellow for Endo, LLC wants to provide financial support to women who can’t afford their necessary surgeries or treatment as well as providing support teams for all women affected by this disease. Having support teams in every state will give women the tools they need for successful diagnosis and treatment, including up to date reviews on doctors and specialists in their area. Once a team is established in your state, they will help you find doctors; discuss treatment options, drug reactions, and infertility advice. Team Leaders are put in place to provide headquarters with an up to date list of doctors as well as facilitate your monthly support groups and events. Yellow for Endo, LLC also advocates for change! We think there should be a national registry made for all doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Endometriosis. This is necessary for women to find proper treatment and avoid multiple misdiagnoses. We hope this answered some questions you might have about our organization. However, if you still have questions, send us an email! We are here to help YOU!
