Auxiliary 8346 Lake Wateree. Congratulations
Today's featured Auxiliary in Action is Auxiliary 8346 in South Carolina!
Recently, members delivered their third round of "Dignity Baskets" to the Dorn VA Medical Center to be given to veterans transitioning from homelessness. Their initial basket delivery included 40 baskets, five of which were donated by the VFW, while both the second and third deliveries included 30 baskets each, bringing the total to 100 thus far.
They write, "Each laundry basket is packed with essential hygiene items, cleaning supplies, household essentials and personal care products — our goal is to help restore dignity during one of life's most challenging transitions. This ongoing project is recently funded exclusively through our (National Wildlife Turkey Federation) ticket sales and it's incredible to see how far that support has stretched. Every ticket purchased helped make these baskets possible!"
Auxiliary members gathered at the Post home to sort and pack each basket then load them up for the trip to the VA.
