Futuriti.org, a project of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), helps students, parents, educators, career changers, and adult learners discover education and career pathways.

HDI was proud to partner with CPE to include resources for students with disabilities and information about Kentucky Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) programs for students with intellectual disabilities (Under Resources & Tools tab).

The Autism Works Study aims to improve employment services for Autistic adults. Autistic adults, family members, providers, policymakers, and employers are invited to take part in a one-time 60-minute interview or 90-minute focus group plus an optional 90-minute co-design workshop. Your perspective can help shape future approaches to employment services for Autistic adults.

Participants will be compensated for either the interview or the focus group (not both) and a follow-up session. All sessions will take place online.

Access isn't a checklist. It's a practice.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are a good start for making digital content accessible. But color contrast, image descriptions, and captions are just the beginning.

True access can look like:
- Asking people with disabilities for feedback.
- Meeting the needs of your specific community.
- Learning how to share information in new ways.

Access is more than legal requirements. It’s a journey to make sure everyone with and without disabilities can stay connected.

What would make the world more accessible for you?

The Training Innovation Project needs your help. Please share this post and encourage businesses to complete this survey that will help us use resources to support them and strengthen workforce participation.

Did you know that nearly 1 in 4 adults in the United States has a disability, yet people with disabilities continue to be far less likely to be employed than those without disabilities. Research consistently shows that many people with disabilities want to work and contribute their skills and talents, but are often an under-utilized part of the talent pipeline.

To better support businesses and strengthen workforce participation, the Training Innovation Project (TIP) is inviting businesses to complete a brief anonymous survey about disability and employment. This input will help us better understand what information, resources, and training are most wanted and needed.

If you are a business, take a few minutes to complete the survey linked below and share it with businesses near and far! The survey will be available until June 30, 2026.
