We are thrilled to invite you to a very special evening at STEAM Academy as we partner with the city of Lexington and the 250LEX Commission. As the year comes to a close, city leaders wanted to hear from Lexington's future leaders, and STEAM Academy was a perfect fit.
On Tuesday, December 9th, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., our campus will come alive with music, art, and interactive exhibits as students share their research and ideas about what makes a community strong and future-ready. From health and wellness to environmental innovation, local leadership, and social well-being, students have been exploring the many factors that shape life here in the Horse Capital of the World.
Working in partnership with the Mayor’s Office and local civic and government leaders, our students have developed projects that explore Lexington’s past while imagining its future — through the eyes of the next generation.
The evening will include:
🎶 Live music performed by students
🍗 Sponsored and free Chick-fil-A meals for the first 400 guests, along with a dessert table sponsored by Publix.
💬 Interactive student exhibits and creative showcases
🗣️ A special address by Mayor Linda Gorton, joined by civic and community leaders
“This event invites our young people to share their vision for the Lexington they will lead into our next 250 years,” said Mayor Gorton in a recent interview.
We hope to see our entire STEAM family at this event - a historic moment for STEAM!
