Our band students hit the newly refurbished practice field for the first time today—and you could feel the difference immediately. Kids were smiling, moving with more confidence, and getting more done in less time. Productivity literally doubled on day one. When the dots are right and the field is clean, rehearsal time turns into real progress instead of “find your spot again.”

Huge thank you to Lexington Public Schools for making this happen. Facilities like this tell our students their work matters.

And a big shout-out to Field Dots LLC for the outstanding job. The markings are sharp, accurate, and exactly what a marching band needs to learn drill faster and cleaner. Our students are already enjoying every minute on it.

Days 3 & 4 of Summer Band Camp 2026 are in the books!

The Pride of Lexington continues to dig deep. Even in the heat, our students are working hard, staying focused, and pushing forward both musically and visually. The progress is clear — cleaner sets, stronger sound, and growing confidence with every rep.

A special thank you to First United Bank for their generous donation that helped provide pizza for the students on Wednesday. We also want to thank First Baptist Church in Lexington for providing lunch today. Your support keeps our students fueled and ready to keep building this season!

Day 2 of Summer Band Camp 2026!

We forgot to post this yesterday so we wanted ti get this out this morning.

Another strong day for the Pride of Lexington! The students continue to push themselves, refine fundamentals, and build the chemistry that will carry us through the season. The progress from Day 1 to Day 2 is already noticeable, and the energy remains high.

A big thank you to Lexington First Baptist Church for providing a fantastic lunch for our students today. Your support and generosity help fuel these long, productive camp days, and we truly appreciate you taking care of our kids!

Day 1 of Summer Band Camp 2026 is in the books!

What an incredible start for the Pride of Lexington! Our students showed up ready to work, learn, and build the foundation for another great season. The energy was high, the focus was sharp, and the pride was on full display.

A huge thank you to Memorial Assembly of God in Purcell for providing lunch for our students today. Your generosity and support mean so much to our program and our kids. We are truly grateful for community partners like you who help make these long camp days possible!

Here’s to a fantastic 2026 season ahead. Let’s keep building!

✨ Day 4 — Magic Kingdom Magic! ✨

We saved the best for one of the most magical days yet at Disney’s Magic Kingdom! The students explored every enchanting land — strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., diving into the fairytale charm of Fantasyland, braving the jungles of Adventureland, and racing through Tomorrowland.

We rode some absolute classics and fan favorites:
🏰 Space Mountain
🪄 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
🏴‍☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean
🦁 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
🚂 Tron Lightcycle / Run

The thrills, laughs, and pure Disney wonder never stopped! We also caught delightful performances throughout the day, including the beloved Festival of Fantasy Parade.
The day (and trip) wrapped up perfectly with the breathtaking Happily Ever After fireworks show — an explosion of lights, lasers, projections on Cinderella Castle, and all our favorite Disney songs lighting up the night sky. The students were mesmerized from start to finish!
What an incredible four days filled with memories that will last a lifetime. This group made every moment unforgettable!

We also want to thank all of our chaperone that came along. Trips like this couldn't happen with out the help of all of our outstanding suppliers!

The Lexington band has started our annual sock fundraiser. All funds raised go to helping students pay for their 2026 band trip to Disney World, as well as helping provide funds for new music, instruments, repairs on current equipment, pay for marching band experiences, and much more! In addition to raising funds for our band students, for every two packs of socks sold, the sock manufacturer will donate one pair of socks to our Baptist Church's clothing closet. This is a great opportunity to support our band students as well as our local community. If you have any questions, feel to reach out to Mr. Bertolozzi.
