☀️🏊♂️ POOL OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT 🏊♀️☀️
After a little extra TLC, a few headaches, some chemistry lessons, and enough water testing to make a scientist jealous, we're excited to announce that the Lexington Elks Lodge 749 Pool will officially OPEN Saturday, June 6th!
Our old girl is finally ready for her 64th season of summer fun! Since opening in 1963, she's been the backdrop for countless cannonballs, poolside conversations, family memories, and probably a few sunburns we'd rather forget.
As we kick off another season, please remember that this pool belongs to all members of Lodge 749. While the Pool Committee is responsible for her upkeep and operation, it takes all of us to keep her looking great and running smoothly.
A few simple reminders:
☂️ Please lower table umbrellas when you leave.
🗑️ Throw away your trash.
🪑 Push in chairs before heading home.
🏊 Help keep the pool deck and surrounding area clean and safe for everyone.
And because every good pool needs a few rules...
POOL RULES
Pool privileges are for Elks in good standing, their spouses, children under 21 (or in college and living in the household), visiting children living outside a 30-mile radius, and grandchildren. Members are responsible for their guests and family members.
Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult.
Guests residing within Lodge 749's jurisdiction are limited to two visits. After two visits, guests should apply for membership or discontinue use. Members are responsible for their guests' conduct at all times.
Members and their families may NOT bring neighborhood children or their children's friends unless they are children of an Elk member.
The pool may close during initiations or other special Lodge functions as posted. The pool remains open during regular Lodge meetings, but members are expected to attend meetings while family members may continue swimming.
The pool gate must remain locked at all times. Members receive a gate key, and additional family keys may be purchased.
Adult beverages should be purchased from the Lodge bar when it is open.
The pool may NOT be rented for private parties or events.
No glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
If you have questions regarding pool rules or policies, please contact a Lodge Officer.
Now let's all do our part to take care of this 64-year-old lady so she can continue providing summer fun for years to come.
See you at the pool Saturday! ☀️🏊♂️🍔🌭🍹
