Happy 4th! Reminder about our FCE meeting Tuesday, July 8 @ 1pm at the UT Extension Henderson County office. Please bring craft supplies for the basket to send to mini conference. We will be having a special guest speaker to tell us about the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, Legion Riders and how they help raise money for Combat For Compassion and how C4C benefits the children affected by Veteran Su***de. As we celebrate Freedom today remember that Freedom often comes with a price. 🇺🇸

At our last Lexington Morning Glories Family Community Education (FCE) meeting we acknowledged 2 members who recieved certificates.

Amanda Jowers received her Gold Reader certificate for reading 313 books.

In February 2025, Callie Moody received her Certificate of Honors from the National Association of Family and Community Education, Inc. for completing the National Certificate Leader-Family Community Leadership Program for her outstanding volunteer service to the community and nation.

Congratulations to them both!!

Members: One thing we will be discussing at the March meeting is entries for the cultural arts exhibits. We want to enter as many of these categories as possible. Two entries from each category can be entered at the Western Region Mini-conference. We need to have all of our entries at the county level by June 1 so they can be judged if needed (if we have multiple entries in the same category) and the top 2 can be submitted for regionals by July 1. So look over the list and see which of these you would like to do. If you need a clearer copy of the list check your handbook. 😃

I appreciate the Lexington Morning Glories FCE members' efforts to give back to the community by sharing their talents.
