June is a time to celebrate and honor the joy, resilience, and brilliance of LGBTQ+ people. At MSPCC, Pride is a reflection of our commitment to seeing every person fully and meeting them where they are.

During Pride Month, we celebrate that commitment alongside the LGBTQ+ community members, families, and staff who make MSPCC who we are.

Introducing the Massachusetts Babies Coalition!

The MA Babies Coalition is a collective of community partners, lived experience professionals, policymakers, and advocates centering the mental health and wellbeing and early relational health of babies and families in the context of culture and community. The MA Babies Coalition grew out of the decade-long, steadfast work of the Children’s Mental Health Campaign’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Workgroup elevating and prioritizing an advocacy and policy agenda centered on the mental health and well-being needs of young children (prenatal to six) and their families.

May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, a time to recognize the resilience of children and youth in the foster care system and the individuals who come together to support them. This month, we're recognizing Marissa. Marissa currently serves on the Massachusetts Alliance for Foster Families (MAFF) Advisory Council, MSPCC’s foster parent advisory board. In her work with MAFF, she advocates for policies and resources to improve the foster care system by sharing her valuable perspective as someone with both lived experience within the DCF system and as a foster parent.

MSPCC, in partnership with the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health (MassAIMH) and the Children's Trust, is proud to announce that Massachusetts has become the first state to systematically implement the MassAIMH Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement® Credential within the Healthy Families America home visiting system.

This announcement is particularly timely as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month. We at MSPCC know that supporting children is serious business, and that includes supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of infants, young children, and the adults who care for them.
