Tune in or set your DVR to catch the Opening Ceremonies of Special Olympics USA Games from Minneapolis, Minneapolis, this Saturday, June 20th at 7:30 PM!

The Opening Ceremonies will be held at Huntington Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota and will include the Parade of Athletes, honoring all 52 delegations, as well as the lighting of the 2026 USA Games’ unique cauldron—the culmination of the historic Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg—signifying the official start of the Games.

Special performances by Demi Lovato and Jon Batiste will be included!

You can catch the broadcast and streaming options on the following platforms:
ESPN+ and Disney+ will stream the ceremony live starting at 7:30pm ET.
ABC will air a special preview and review highlight program on Sunday, June 21 from noon to 2:00pm ET, which will feature highlights of the Opening Ceremony.

South Carolina Torch Runner participates in the Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Lieutenant Chris Thompson, of the University of South Carolina Police, is representing Special Olympics South Carolina and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, as a Final Leg Torch Runner in Minnesota ahead of the Special Olympics USA Games!

Thompson has joined law enforcement officers from all across the USA, to es**rt the Flame of Hope across Minnesota to promote the upcoming games, which will run from June 20th through 26th!
