Spotlight with Bella Born, PC’24 ✈️💝🌍🌷

“This summer I have the privilege of spending an incredible three and a half weeks studying abroad in Florence Italy! I am taking courses in Services Marketing Management and Global Experience. Throughout my program, I have traveled all around Italy visiting Milan, Tuscany, Rome, Modena, and Siena. Some highlights include visiting the Lamborghini factory, doing a sunset cruise in Maiori, taking a cooking class and exploring my home base of Florence! My time abroad has been filled with new perspectives, the best memories, growth, and stories that I’ll cherish forever! If you ever have the chance to study abroad, say yes!! It’s an experience you’ll carry with you forever!” 🌟

We are so proud of Bella and the experiences that study abroad has given her!!

Meet our Vice President of Chapter Development, Nina Konczyk 💝🤸🏼‍♀️🌈🌟

Nina is a senior from Tinley Park, IL, pursuing a Human Health Sciences degree on the Pre-PA track. Outside of Phi Mu, Nina is an active member of ukyMedLife, a College of Health Sciences ambassador, and the Pre-PA publicity coordinator.

“To say Phi Mu Rho Iota is an important part of my life would be an understatement. This chapter has truly shaped my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined, and I am forever thankful for what it has given me. Not only was I given the chance to make some of the best friendships, but I have also been given endless opportunities for leadership, growth, and discovery. I have gained friends who will be my forever cheerleaders, ones who are always there to pick me right back up when I fall. I have been greeted with an immense amount of love and support, always receiving more back than I could ever imagine. I have had the chance to find the best role models to look up to, and now I get to do the same in return. Without the women of this chapter, I don’t know who I’d be today. But more importantly, I am confident that because of Phi Mu, I am the best version of myself that I can be. This house, these girls, and this chapter have shaped me for the better, and I could not be more grateful and proud to call myself a Phi Mu!” 💝

This week we’re featuring one of our phams, Natalie Kossolapov (PC’25), Katy Kilgore (PC’24), Sarah Lamb (PC’23) 💝

“If there is one thing Phi Mu has taught me, it’s that everything works out for a reason. When I ran home to Phi Mu, I ran home to someone I didn’t know; little did I know she would be one of the most important people I met in my freshman year. My big, Katy, is one of the best people I have ever met, and she understands me like no one else. I am so thankful for everything she has done for me, whether it’s making sure I’m okay, laughing at my jokes, getting food with me, or making me feel included no matter who we’re with. My pham has always felt like a home away from home and I am so thankful that I get to share a connection with these wonderful girls for the rest of my life. I cannot thank Phi Mu enough for bringing me my amazing big Katy, and my wonderful g-big Sarah. I have never felt more loved by a group of girls and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us🤍” - Natalie Kossolapov

“I came into Phi Mu as a spring COB and was worried about joining too late and not having a close bond with my Pham, but my big was so welcoming and made me feel right at home with Phi Mu. Then when it was my turn to get a little, I had a random bid day buddy and wasn’t sure what to expect. I definitely didn’t expect my random bid day buddy to become my little and for our relationship to immediately hit it off. I am so glad that Phi Mu brought me my Pham💝” - Katy Kilgore

Carolyn is a senior from Webster, NY, pursuing a Biology degree with German and Psychology minors, on the Pre-PA track. Outside of Phi Mu, Carolyn is an active member of the Pre-PA club and ukyMedLife!

“Coming to college from New York, out of state, without knowing anyone was honestly terrifying, but the second I walked into Phi Mu, I felt like I had found where I belonged. The women in this chapter became my best friends, biggest supporters, and the people who pushed me to grow into a person and leader I never would have imagined becoming. Looking back at the girl who came to campus not knowing a single person, I never could have imagined that one day I’d have the honor of serving as Chapter President. Phi Mu has truly changed my life, and I’m forever grateful for this sisterhood and every memory that came with it!” 💝
