Kentucky Cancer Program- East The Kentucky Cancer Program's network of cancer control specialists serves all the state's 120 counties through 14 regional offices.

Our mission is to reduce cancer incidence and mortality by promoting cancer education, research and service programs. KCP operates through a network of 14 regional offices staffed by trained and experienced cancer control specialists who provide local leadership on cancer prevention and control initiatives for all of Kentucky’s 120 counties. KCP works closely with the Kentucky Cancer Registry and

15 District Cancer Councils across the state to identify and develop interventions/solutions to address cancer problems in their communities.

We have a terrific career opportunity. Kentucky Cancer Program (KCP) at Markey Caner Center is recruiting a Cancer Control Specialist III, Regional (RCCS III). The RCCS III will conduct planning and implementation of cancer prevention and screening services throughout counties located in the western portion of the district: Franklin, Woodford, Anderson, Jessamine, Mercer, Boyle, Garrard, and Lincoln Counties. This role also supervises KCP’s Community Health Worker (CHW) staff and oversees CHW program activities which aim to increase access to cancer screening and care within communities of greatest need in Fayette County and central Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of community engagement, public health, and familiarity with the Bluegrass ADD. This position has a remote work arrangement and the candidate must reside in one of the following counties: Franklin, Woodford, Anderson, Jessamine, Mercer, Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln County or Fayette.
