The first of two FREE skills clinics for the U5 & U6 age groups is tonight, Aug. 24, at Masterson Station Park on field 1A at 6:30 p.m. These are completely voluntary and free non-contact sessions for LYSA players in this age group with the focus on individual skill and technical developement.

Before coming out to the fields this weekend, please confirm your game time at lysa.org/youth-schedule. There were minor adjustments made to a few age groups a few days after schedules were originally sent out; we just want to make sure everyone knows their game time this weekend. For your reference, the schedule table notes when each group has been updated.

For the rest of the season, no dates/times of matches will be changed on the website within two weeks before a game without the teams being contacted directly about the change. Matches more than two weeks out may be changed without team notification.

We are so excited that Leestown Coffee House will be back this season to serve yummy coffee and other refreshments. Leestown Coffee House’s coffee truck will be in the parking lot area near field 8 for every Saturday of game action at Masterson Station Park.

For August and September dates, Leestown Coffee will be set up approximately from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For October games, the truck will close around 11:30 a.m.

We will also offer limited snack and beverage options at the concession stand on select days this season. Warm food will not be served.

For those who ordered new uniforms during the on-time ordering window (July 28-31), those uniforms have arrived and are being numbered at the Locker Room. The Locker Room is calling parents this week as your child’s uniform is ready. We would not recommend showing up to the Locker Room to pick up until you’ve heard from them.

You are also welcome to call and check the status of your child’s uniform if you need to schedule time to get there this week. The Locker Room’s number is 859.276.1101. The Locker Room is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you ordered outside the July 28-31 window, the Locker Room cannot guarantee those uniforms will be ready this week. They will notify you when those orders are ready.

We appreciate your passion for your child and your love for the game. When you’re on the sidelines this season, we hope you’re loud and proud of your kid and his/her team.

With that said, please remember this is a youth recreational league that focuses on fun and development. Our coaches are volunteers, and many of our referees are young. We want to foster good competition but remember that wins and losses are not the foundation of our league.

To that end, please review the LYSA Parent Code of Conduct at lysa.org/parent-code-of-conduct

We would also recommend familiarizing yourself with the rules of your child’s age group at lysa.org/youthrules
