Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc. Anything For Our Youth (AFOYgroup) is a group of folks who believe in coming together to put on events for our youth. We also accept donations for our projects.

Our mission is to create programs, projects, events that foster a sense of belonging for underserved and low-income youth empowering them through the arts, leadership development, and mental wellness to lead and transform their communities from within. We love to see kids being kids, and having fun, and enjoying the laughter. All functions are provided for the youth at no cost to them. We seek don

What an AMAZING time we had at our Annual 14th Annual Thump the Yard Easter EggStravaganza Egg Hunt and Book Giveaway hosted by Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc.! 💜🐣🌸

Our hearts are full of gratitude as we reflect on such a joyful and successful event. We are incredibly thankful for our community friends, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers who showed up and showed out to make this day so special for our youth and families.

A HUGE thank you to Tay Infante for her outstanding leadership, your energy and dedication truly set the tone for the day! Special appreciation to Ms. Vivian Royal, Mrs. Myrna Pettaway and Vena Gilley-Tysinger for all of the behind-the-scenes organization and hard work that helped bring everything together seamlessly.

We are so grateful for our partnership with Al Khattab Temple 201 Shriners for preparing and serving a delicious lunch to all attendees and JNO G. Lewis Assembly #326 for annual support. Your service and commitment to the community does not go unnoticed!

Thank you to Arts Davidson County for sponsoring our Arts Coloring Station and helping spark creativity in our youth. Youth Agricultural, Gardening & Sustainability Program 🌼🌱

Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc. is excited to welcome youth across the Lexington community and surrounding areas to our Annual Youth Agricultural, Gardening, and Sustainability Program!

Our organization is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for youth through education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that promote growth, leadership, and community engagement. This program is one of our signature initiatives, designed to connect youth with nature while teaching valuable life skills.

Open to youth ages K–12th, this enriching program allows participants to cultivate, nurture, and harvest fresh produce while learning essential gardening skills and sustainable food practices. 🌿🍅

📅 Program Kickoff: Saturday, April 25, 2026

Our Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc. youth dancers have been committed and dedicated to their weekly dance class this year.

Today we decided to kick off our Pre-Spring Break by having ice-cream and social time at Char's Hamburgers on Main Street in Lexington NC.

Our youth dance program is open, and free to school age youth. We meet every Wednesday at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Arts Davidson County.

We will be off next week for Spring Break, but we will be happy to have more youth join us on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 4:00 pm.

History:

One day we were sitting around thinking about putting on a Easter Egg Hunt event for the youth in our communities. So Tina Royal, Demitris Royal, and Shamarquis Horton put together a plan and asked several friends to join in, we all organized the first annual “Thump the Yard” Easter “Egg”stravanga for our youth at Finch Park in Lexington, NC. We then continued to come up with other ideas that youth could attend, and our motto became, “Hosting events where a kid can be a kid”

Over the years we continued to host other events such as teaming up to help support the Annual Back to School Pool Party, Halloween Costume Party, end of the school year skating party, youth cotillion, and our annual signature event “Winter Wonderland Ball” along with several other events.
