I started heARTS because of the recent budget cuts at Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY. I started thinking that, even with these cuts of almost half of our budget, how lucky we are to still have these programs when some schools dont have any at all. heARTS is currently accepting any type of donations. (money instruments, art supplies, books, DVDs of plays, scripts, music, anything involved with the arts) that will be shared with schools, programs and children who don't have access to the arts. Please be aware that because we are in our organizational stage, we are still in the process of obtaining our 501C3 designation. Until that is completed, donations are not tax deductible. Our hope is as we grow we may also be able to offer workshops and performances in schools that may not get to travel to participate in or see such things. If you would like to teach a workshop, have your group perform or just assist in setting up workshops and performances, please contact me either on Facebook, by email or by phone. We also hope to advocate the importance of an arts education to school board around Kentucky as well the U.S. We will begin by conducting extensive research to show proof that education in the arts improves a child's performance in school. Another fun-draising opportunity! We have art for sale!! Below are art pieces made by FSU students to help fundraise for our "Arts for Alzheimer's" project at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and our "Arts for the Soul" program at Big Bend Hospice. The smaller pieces were all made by people in the FSU Chapter of heARTS ($10 each + shipping)! The larger Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day pieces are from our virtual Arts for the Soul project and are $15 each (+ shipping)! Please consider buying art to support our projects!

Hello heARTS family! We are doing a Share-It-Night at the Chipotle on Gaines St. in Tallahassee to help raise money for a donation of arts supplies to the kids at Astoria Park Elementary! All of the money we raise will go towards supplying as many kids as possible with backpacks of arts supplies for the summer break! Hello all FSU friends!
I know the pandemic has caused a lot of uncertainty about what returning to campus will look like, and many are concerned about how to continue extracurricular activities. "heARTS Incorporated at FSU", the FSU Chapter of heARTS, is still planning on continuing this semester and we would LOVE your support!

In order to continue being an RSO, we need a certain number of members, and having your commitment would allow us to continue serving Tallahassee!

heARTS in the time of Corona! We are currently working on a donation of 50 backpacks of inspiration to the kids of Sealey Elementary! We hope these arts supplies and activity booklets can help kids learn and create at home!

Hello heARTS family! I hope you’re all staying healthy and safe! As many of you know, most of our work involves human connection and therefore has been halted due to social distancing. In this difficult time, I would like to start a project to send cards to our healthcare workers around the nation! I am thinking this can be either through mail or e-cards! If you and your family are interested in making some cards please comment below and we can start making a plan! Let’s spread some love to those working tirelessly to stop the spread of COVID-19!
