๐พ Agriculture Education Week 2026! ๐พ
What a week across Kentucky! Our Kentucky 4-H State Officers spent the week traveling to schools, communities, and agriculture events to help students learn more about where their food, clothing, and everyday products come fromโand why agriculture matters. ๐
๐ Monday: President Jeremiah Jury and Secretary Ella Yazell kicked off the week in Jessamine County! Ella and Jeremiah signed the KDA Kentucky agriculture maps featuring products from each county, which will be displayed in Jessamine County elementary schools. Ella also helped at the 4-H booth, teaching students about the agriculture behind the products they use every day.
๐ Tuesday: Vice President Jefferson Oldfield visited Paint Lick Elementary in Garrard County, where he helped read books to preschoolers and shared a little agriculture education along the way!
๐ฑ Wednesday: Reporter Liberty Proffitt traveled to Pulaski County to help at the 4-H booth and meet dozens of students. Later, she joined FFA officers, the commissioner, and Miss Kentucky to read to elementary students.
๐ Thursday: President Jeremiah Jury brought greetings on behalf of Kentucky 4-H at an agriculture safety education event in Gallatin County before traveling to Pendleton County to read to elementary students. Jefferson also participated in a video interview with Dr. Stephanie Harris of Montgomery County Schools and later delivered remarks at the Fayette County Livestock Showcase and Sale.
๐พ Friday: Treasurer Rachel Wilson wrapped up the week by visiting Lewisburg Elementary in Logan County and Morgantown Elementary in Butler County to participate in their Agriculture Education Week programs!
From reading with students to hands-on learning at 4-H booths, our officers loved showing Kentucky youth just how connected agriculture is to their everyday lives. ๐๐พ
Thank you to everyone who helped make Agriculture Education Week such a special week across Kentucky!
