So, whether you are looking to learn more about the bourbon-centric culture, want to partake in various nonprofit charity events, or wish to simply have fun with a great group, the Lexington Bourbon Society welcomes you. Many many thanks to Dave Bob and his staff for another wonderful experience at Town Branch last night. They never fail to take great care of our group and were as always incredibly gracious. Fantastic cocktails and delicious neat pours and even some barrel thieving where some of our members barreled their on bottles. Fun experience in a really pretty space. The weather was perfect for patio sipping and sharing pours from things we bought in the gift shop. Can’t wait to do it again!

Another fantastic blind today!! Chris Andress did an amazing job of finding some great single barrel pours all under $50. The biggest surprise of the day was the Jim Beam single barrel…it was the favorite of at least half the attendees and was a real eye opener for many of us. At 108 proof and only $25 a bottle it is definitely going on our shelf! Thanks to all that participated and especially to all that helped set up today!!! See you at the next one in October!!

Yesterday the Ladies of LBS went to Versailles to attend a make your own perfume event. While this event was a lot of fun there’s also a learning curve to it that I believe humbled all of us.

We used natural plant extracts, essential oils, and aromatic compounds to create scents into a unique fragrance made for and by each attendee. We each took home a 60ml bottle of our hand crafted fragrance. I learned a lot during this class & look forward to putting it to use on my next visit.
