Palmetto Pyr Haven Well, this is the beginning of our new adventure. 2016 will be the start for Palmetto Pyr Haven. We are not a foster home or rescue group.

We are a final haven for senior and Special Needs Great Pyrenees and Pyrenean Mastiffs that stay in long-term rescue with little or no prospect of being adopted due to their age and/or medical needs. Once a dog becomes a resident, he or she will have a loving home for life. Our mission will be to provide senior and special needs pyrs with a loving and caring home where they will be allowed to live

out their lives in a secure, nurturing environment. We will provide residents with a comfortable home, secure yards to play and supervised time in fenced, grassy fields on our 4+ acres of property. Healthcare and wellness screenings will be ongoing with veterinary specialists consulted when needed. All pyrs will receive special diets, as necessary, and are fed high quality foods and treats. We are currently trying to raise the funds to get our 501(c)3 charitable status and incorporation. We will also need a small amount of start up funds and are looking into a used mini-van for pyr transport. Palmetto Pyr Haven will rely on donations, grants, and wish list gifts to accomplish our primary mission of providing quality care and love for our senior fluffies. Good Afternoon Pyr Family!
We will be having our "End The Summer Falling For A Senior Pyr" Auction from Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 4am EDT through Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 12 noon EDT. We will have end of Summer vet visits and Med Refills coming up then plus we currently have three fluffies on Hospice care right now and those vet bills are very expensive.
For people who do not like to bid in the auction, we are also in desperate need of food and supplies for the seniors. I have included our Amazon and Chewy wish lists below. Please consider sending them some food or treats. We would be so so grateful to you!! These items are always in need for them and such a blessing for us to receive so we can keep their funds for the medical visits, medicines, and other things we cannot order for them.

We want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! to our sweet special needs boy, DOZER!! He is 5 years old today. Our big boy is everyone's best friend and just the happiest boy!! He is doing well on his medication for his degenerative discs and his severe hip dysplasia. He doesn't run around too much but he is always ready to roll on his back to play with Brinkley and cuddle with his favorite older brother Charlie. We know he has bad days but he tries to never show it. We love you sweet boy!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
