Day 10: Well what can I say…what an incredible ten days it has been.

A huge thank you to our incredible hosts, United States Pony Club, who made us feel so welcomed and looked after us with wonderful experiences the whole time we were here.

A second thank you shout out goes to the other Team Managers who were so generous with their advice and information. The connections made on this trip will be invaluable to introducing and establishing quiz into the nz pony club community.

Thank you also to all of the amazing young people who came from around the world to complete in the quiz exchange. They were so helpful with their advice and encouragement to us newbies. I’m so proud of our amazing team of four that have represented our country so well and am honoured to have been your Team Manager/Chaperone.

The farewell banquet last night at the USPC Head Office, that we shared with the international CEOs and Board Chais including our own Lizzie Turnbull and Emma Barker from New Zealand Pony Clubs, was a fantastic way to finish this exchange. We also had some dance fun on the way home! Ella Cooper-Levin you were an outstanding Team Captain and a brilliant positive encourager of our other team members. Thank you Katie Graham, Lexi Hope and Sam Jones for being brave enough to leap into the big unknown at an international level and hold your own with smiles on your faces - all four of you rock!

Couldn’t be prouder of our incredible Quiz Team who have battled it out with the world’s best pony club equestrian quizzers. Although they did not have the years of experience in quizzing the other teams have, they held their own and competed with tenacity.
They have made lifelong friends- what a great bunch of young people. Our pony clubs around the world have a great future with these incredible young people coming through ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A huge thank you to Lizzie Turnbull and New Zealand Pony Clubs for this amazing opportunity for these girls 😍

Day 6: Another early start this morning and two phases of competition “Mega Room” and “Stations”. Mega Room was all about identifying different pieces of horse gear done individually. Stations was a team activity that involved problem solving and horse knowledge and identifying items. Both phases were two hours long.
We then hopped back on the bus and went to a Hunting Kennels Iroquious Hounds to see the Fox hounds. We played with puppies that were very cute!
