Each year, the Junior League of Lexington honors exceptional graduating seniors through our Community Impact Award, recognizing young women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, service and a commitment to making a difference in our community.

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Addie Barret! 🌟

Say hello to Addie Barret, one of our amazing 2nd-year Active members! ✨ Addie is doing double duty this year, serving as our Sponsorship Chair for the Holly Day Market and as a member of the CE&R committee.

After living in Indianapolis for 10 years, Addie moved back to Lexington and felt a bit like she was starting over. She joined the League looking to find friends and mentors who were just as passionate about investing in the community and making a difference.

Since joining, Addie has learned about so many organizations doing meaningful work across Central Kentucky while building deep and meaningful relationships along the way.

This is her second year leading sponsorship efforts for Holly Day Market, and she's excited to help make this year's event even more successful than the last.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, leadership and dedication, Addie. We're grateful to have you as part of the League and can't wait to see all you accomplish this year! 🌟

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Ayanna Parker! 🌟

We're shining a spotlight on Ayanna Parker, our incredible VP of Community! Ayanna has been a dedicated member of the League for six years, and her passion for giving back truly inspires us.

For Ayanna, the League has been an amazing catalyst for personal growth. She credits the organization with helping her step outside her comfort zone, giving her the push to connect with new people and confidently take on roles that were totally outside her usual wheelhouse.

"My favorite part about the Junior League is being involved in the community. Through the Junior League, I have been able to see and volunteer at places that I may not have found on my own."

Thank you for six wonderful years of service and leadership, Ayanna - we are so lucky to have you guiding our community efforts!

We’re excited to highlight Ellen Sawyer, our Sustainer Advisor to Membership. 💙 After spending five years with the Chicago League, Ellen brought her passion for service and community to the Junior League of Lexington, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our chapter.

Since joining JLL, Ellen has embraced every opportunity to connect with fellow members and get involved throughout the Lexington community. Whether attending social events, joining book club discussions or gathering at monthly dinners, she values the relationships and sense of community that make the League so special. 📚✨
