💜 Tomorrow, Wear Purple for Purple Thursday!

Tomorrow, October 15, the Junior League of Lexington is proud to recognize Purple Thursday during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

We stand in support of our past-funded nonprofit partners, GreenHouse17 and The Nest - Center for Women, Children and Families, who provide critical resources, support and services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

Join us in wearing purple tomorrow to show your support for survivors, raise awareness and help build a safer, more supportive community for all.

This World Mental Health Day, the Junior League of Lexington recognizes the importance of supporting one another and building a stronger, healthier community.

As an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community, we know that small acts of kindness and meaningful conversations can make a difference.

Today, we encourage you to check in on a friend, listen without judgment and help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Together, we can create a more compassionate city where everyone feels supported and valued.

✨ Member Spotlight: Dr. Allison Ellis ✨

Meet Allison Ellis, our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Director, now in her third active year with the League! Allison’s connection to the Junior League started long before she became a member herself. Her mom previously served as President of the Junior League of Owensboro, inspiring Allison to continue that legacy in her own community.

“I’m a legacy! My mom was a previous President of the Junior League of Owensboro. I wanted to follow in her footsteps and support my local community,” Allison shares.

Thank you, Allison, for bringing your passion and leadership to the Junior League of Lexington! 💙
