In recognition of 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 (𝐘𝐉𝐀𝐌) 2026, JusticeLink is hosting members of the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) School-to-Prison Pipeline Subcommittee for an important virtual conversation focused on preventing youth justice system involvement and creating supportive educational environments where young people can thrive.

𝐷𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑒:

National Trends: Understanding the factors contributing to the school-to-prison pipeline and youth justice system involvement.

Federal Funding Opportunities: Learning about funding that can support prevention efforts, alternatives to exclusionary discipline, and more effective approaches.

Promising Practices: Highlighting school-community partnerships and initiatives that are making a difference for young people.

Opportunities for Engagement: Connecting with members of CJJ’s School-to-Prison Pipeline Subcommittee, asking questions, and learning how to get involved.

𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬!

NPJS is thrilled to share that we are launching a program called,
𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

VOICEs to Influence is a year-long leadership cohort for young people ages 17-26 with lived experience in the juvenile justice system. The program provides learning opportunities, mentorship, and professional development to help participants build confidence, strengthen their voice, and create lasting and impactful change in their communities and beyond.

HAPPY MONDAY!

What a week it was in Seattle. Wonderful presentations, speakers, comaraderie, and an amazing atmosphere throughout both the Leadership Institute and National Symposium.

But we're not done yet. There are still so many stories to tell you about.
