Can we ask for 10 minutes of your time? SHECP is exploring the question: “What tools, skills, mindsets, and understandings do students need to thrive in civic-impact careers?” and we want to hear and learn from you!

We have designed a short survey targeted toward program alumni and community partners to gather information about experiences that shaped their career trajectory, including what experiences helped them the most, what they wish they could have known before entering their field, what has helped them to stay, and/or what pushed them to leave.

If you’re willing to share your experience and expertise, please click on the link to the short survey below. The survey will take about 10 minutes of your time and will remain open until June 12th. We would love to have a wide range of experiences and expertise represented, so please feel free to share this survey with your colleagues and networks!

What starts as a backyard garden can grow into something much bigger. In this episode of SHECP Talks 🎙️ — Jim Kvach talks to Washington and Lee University student Emily Scaff and shares how his small farm grew into a long-term commitment to supporting the Rockbridge Area Relief Association and expanding access to fresh, nutritious food. What began as personal farming has become a community effort rooted in one idea: neighbors helping neighbors. ❤️

SHECP is looking for a Post Undergraduate Fellow to collaborate with our team, support the mission of SHECP, and interact with partners and the community. The Fellow will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects — from virtual events to communications to project management — but the exact scope of work will depend on the individual's skills and interests.
-- The SHECP Post Undergraduate Fellowship is open to graduating students (or recently graduated students) from current SHECP Member Schools. Previous participation in the SHECP Summer Internship Program is not required but is strongly preferred.
-- The selected individual would be part of SHECP's core team, working remotely and reporting directly to SHECP's Executive Director. They would work approximately 210 hours over the course of the summer (late May to mid-August), but the exact start and end dates are somewhat flexible.
-- Includes a $2,800 stipend.

Review of applications will begin on April 1st. For more information, visit: https://www.shepherdconsortium.org/post/post-undergraduate-fellowship
