Monday Nights at the Studio

Monday Nights at the Studio Monthly Monday night music jam, 3rd Monday of each month, at the studio on Washington Street: 7:30-10 pm. (Was formerly the 2nd Monday of the month.)

Informal music jam the 3rd Monday night of the month in downtown Lexington, Virginia, 7:30 - 10 pm. Play or listen, any style of music. Bring your favorite beverage to share. For address and directions, and to join the official guest list, email [email protected].

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I am sad to let you know that I will not be renewing my lease at the studio for 2018. I have new projects that necessitate moving on, and while I'm excited about this, I'm sorry to be leaving a space that has served me so well -- and one that has so happily hosted all of you for music for almost 3 years. This month and next (December 18th) will be the last two jams at the studio.

Please come enjoy yourselves and share your music, and let your friends know that if they've always been planning to come, now's the time! I look forward to seeing you there.

P.S. I don't know if this will be the end of the jam; much of its character has been due to the intimacy and acoustics of the two rooms upstairs on Washington St. That said, I am open to fielding ideas for another venue, or for passing it along to a new host, if anyone feels moved to take it on.

** Special Monday night jam venue and time this month only -- LIME KILN!! 6:30 - 9 pm **

Music is on for Monday night, September 18th, at Lime Kiln! Come play and listen under the trees and stars at the picnic area, just outside the bowl. We'll start an hour early - 6:30 pm - to take advantage of the daylight, and finish up after dark at 9:00 pm.* Please drive in by the entrance at the end of Lime Kiln Rd. (The Borden Rd entrance will be closed.)

I'll have snacks and beverages as usual, but you're welcome to bring more! Lime Kiln has metal chairs, or bring your own if you prefer. And as always, bringing your friends is encouraged. Contact me via FB if you need directions.

*It may get cool after sundown, so please dress accordingly.
Rain venue will be in my studio at 7:30 as usual -- I'll post to FB and send out an email in that case. Looking hopeful at this point, though.
