Please Note: All practice/game times & locations are tentative and may change. We appreciate your patience and understanding as schedules are finalized.
Why We Need You
Our league thrives on parent volunteers—especially as officials. Without dedicated refs, some calls will inevitably be missed (yes, even pros experience this!). To keep games fair, fun, and safe, we need 3–4 volunteer refs per contest. No experience required—just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our kids. While not required at all just understand the impact of not having volunteer refs.
Safety First
While flag football is non-tackle, we do introduce basic blocking at the 5th/6th grade level. To protect everyone, we will:
Emphasize proper flag-pull technique and only legal hand-blocking
Enforce zero tolerance for tackling, late hits, or dangerous play
Impose strict consequences (up to league expulsion) for repeat safety violations
Our top priority is that every child leaves practices and games healthy, happy, and eager for more.
League Overview
3rd/4th Grade (7v7 Flag Football)
Eligibility: Enrolled in Lexington Local Schools
When & Where: Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 PM @ HS practice fields, starting August 6 with a large-group skills clinic; teams announced the following week
Games: Wednesdays, starting August 27 through October 19
Coaches: Parent volunteers
Cost: $50 per player

5th/6th Grade (9v9 Flag Football)
Eligibility: Enrolled in Lexington Local Schools
Skills & Positions: Three linemen, quarterback, running backs & wide receivers—focus on blocking fundamentals, passing, route running, pursuit, and coverage
Practices: Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:30 PM @ HS practice fields, starting August 7 with a large-group skills clinic; teams announced the following week
Games: Sundays, beginning August 24 through October 19 (afternoon slots)
Coaches: Parent volunteers (playbook provided; 3 coaches per team recommended)
Cost: $60 per player
